1780 Isaac Thorn and Mary Schooley, of Nottingham (daughter of Joseph, dec'd), were married on 12 of month 10, at Chesterfield. Witnessed by Avis Holloway and many others. [1]

1792 Avis Holloway was named in the will of her brother, Benjamin. [2]

1794 Joseph Middleton, of Chesterfield Township (son of Nathan and Lydia), and Avis Holloway, of the same place, (dau. of James, decd, and Rebecca), were married at Chesterfield on 17th 4th mo. 1794. Witnesses: Nathan, Lydia, Hannah, Gabriel, Samuel, George, Hannah, George and Thomas Middleton; Rebekah, Miriam [wife of brother Samuel] and James [brother of Avis] Holloway, Ann Pharo, Samuel Abbott, Joseph M. Lawrie, Isaac Thorn, Michael Taylor and others. [3] [4]
