Notes for Caleb Ivins and Sarah Wright

1753 Caleb Ivins, son of Moses ivins and Kezia Shreve, was born 14 December, 1753. [1] [2]

1754 On 25 October, a daughter was born to David and Sarah Wright. [3]

Caleb Ivins married Sarah Wright. [4]

1782 Caleb Ivins of Upper Freehold, Monmouth County was a juror in the court of Oyer and Terminer in November. [5]

1782 Caleb Ivins and David Wright made inventory for the estate of Joshua Horner of Freehold, Monmouth County. [6]

1787 David Wright was administrator and Caleb Ivins was fellowbondsman and made inventory for the estate of Terry Isaac of Monmouth County. [7]

"Caleb Ivins lived in Hornerstown, New Jersey. Caleb Ivins was loved by all that knew him, many having baptized him the Good Samaritan. He owned a brick and frame house and had a nice farm with a beautiful orchard, in which chestnut, hickorynut and walnut trees grew. He also owned a store, grist mill, saw mill, and a distillery." 1821 Sarah (Wright) Ivins died before 1821. [9] [10]

1840 Caleb Ivins (80-89) lived in Upper Freehold, Monmouth County, New Jersey. [11]

1845 Caleb Ivins died on 26 August, 1845 in Hornerstown, New Jersey. [12] [13]

1845 The will of Caleb Ivins, of Freehold Twp, dated November 2, 1841, was proved on September 12, 1845, in Monmouth County, New Jersey. The will named several of his children and grandchildren. [14]

Caleb Ivins was loved by all that knew him, many having christened him the "Good Samaritan." He owned a brick and frame house and had a nice farm with a beautiful orchard, in which chestnut, hickorynut and walnut trees grew. He also owned a store, grist mill, saw mill and a distillery.
