1828 Daniel Weikel, son of Johann and Maria Weikel, was born on May 7. Daniel was baptized on July 27, 1828, at Upper Bermudian Church, Adams County, Pennsylvania. [1]

1831 Emilie Amanda Bricker, daughter of Wilhelm and Margaretha Bricker, was born on April 3, in Butler Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania. She was baptized on May 15, 1831 at Benders Reformed Church. [2]

1850 Amelia Bricker (age 18, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Butler Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania, in a household with William Bricker (age 67), Margaret Bricker (age 59), David Bricker (age 36), Maria Bricker (age 22), Amelia A Bricker (age 1), and David Bricker (age 0). [3]

1852 Mr. Daniel Weigle and Amelia Amanda Bricker were married on March 2, by John Ulrich at Holy Trinity Lutheran in York Springs, Adams, Pennsylvania. [4] A newspaper reported [5]:

On the 2d inst. By the same, (Rev. John Ulrich) Mr. Daniel Weigel, to Miss Amelia Amanda Bricker, both of this county.

1858 The home of D'l Weigle was shown on a map of South Middleton Twp, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. [6]

1860 Daniel Weigel (age 32, born in Pennsylvania), master carpenter, lived in South Middleton Twp, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Amelia Weigel (age 28), Elizabeth Weigel (age 6), Jacob Weigel (age 4), Martin Weigel (age 1), Jacob Thomas (age 24), and Jonathan Cline (age 22). [7]

1880 Daniel Weigel (age 50, born in Pennsylvania, married) lived in Mount Holly Springs, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Amelia A. Weigel (age 46), Malissa J. Weigel (age 25), and William H. Weigel (age 14). Daniel Weigel's occupation was carpenter. [8]

1899 Amanda E Bricker Weigle, wife of Daniel Weigle, died on December 1, at Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania and was buried at Mt Holly Spring cemetery. [9]

1900 Da Weigle (born in Pennsylvania in May 1828, widowed) lived in Mount Holly Springs, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, in a household with daughter Lizzie J Weigle (age 45). Daniel Weigle's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. Daniel Weigle's occupation was carpenter. [10]

1907 Daniel Weigel died and was buried in South Middleton Twp, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. [11]

1917 Melissa Jane Weigel, daughter of Daniel Weigel and Amanda Bricker, died at age 63, on November 10, 1917 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Melissa Jane Weigel was born on June 29, 1854 in Pennsylvania. (Death certificate: 118067). [12]

1940 Jacob N Weigel, son of Daniel Weigel and Amanda Bricker, spouse of Lucy Zug, died at age 84, on December 5, 1940 in Mt. Holly, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. Jacob N Weigel was born on January 15, 1856 in Cumb County, Pennsylvania. (Death certificate: 111658). [13]

Research Notes:

1850 William Bricker (age 67) and Margaret Bricker (age 59) lived in Butler Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania with David (age 36), Amelia (age 18) Marie (age 22) Amelia A (age 1) and David (age 5 months). [14]

1856 The estate papers for William Bricker were filed in Butler Twp, Adams County. Heirs named in his will were wife Margaret and children Elizabeth married to David Dull, John, Jesse, Catharine married to William Michael, Daniel, George, David, and Amelia Amanda married to Daniel Weigle. [15]

1857 Payments were made to legatees of an estate, in Adams County, naming Elizabeth Bull, John Bricker, Jesse Bricker, Catharine Michael, Daniel Bricker, George Bricker, David Bricker, and Amelia Amanda Weigle. Dated May 9. This is filed with papers from the estate of William Meals, spouse of Leah Yates, but the relationship is unclear. Several unrelated papers are filed in the same folder. [16] [17]
