1746 William Davis was born on 25 of month 12. [1] William was a son of William Davis and Ann Venicombe. [2]

1747 Mary Ivins, daughter of Isaac Ivins and Mary Hopkins, was born on 24 of month 9. [3] [4]

1767 Isaac Davis, son of William and Mary Davis, was born on 15 of month 2. [5]

1769 On 2 of month 11, "William and Mary Davis laid before this meeting an acknowledgement condemning their unchaste behavior in having a child sooner after their marriage than was reputable and for having a hireling minister contrary to good order established amongst Friends." [6]

1766-1780 William Davis and Mary Ivins, daughter of Isaac, were married and had ten children, whose names and birthdates were recorded at the Upper Springfield Monthly Quaker Meeting records in Burlington County, New Jersey. [7] [8]

1782 The will of William Davis yeoman of Hanover Twp, Burlington County was dated December 1 with inventory December 26. Wife Mary received 150 pounds. Sons Isaac, Jonathan, Job, and Ivins to receive schooling and be put to trades. Mary to have profits from the estate for 12 years, then proceeds from sale go to children Isaac, Ann, Mary, Meriby, Jonathan, Hannah, Job, William, Abigail, and Ivins. Executors were wife Mary and [Mary's father] Isaac Ivins Sr, and after 12 years [Mary's brother] Isaac Ivins Jr, and in case of his death [Mary's brother] Barzillai Ivins. Witnesses Jonathan Branson, Joseph Davis, John Scott. Inventory on December 26 appraised at £175.13.0 by Joseph Willits and Jonathan Branson. [9]

1782 William Davis died on 9 of month 12, at age 36. [10] [11]

1791 The account of Aaron Ivins, executor of the estate of Isaac Ivins deceased, who was one of the executors of the estate of William Davis, late of Burlington County, and also the account of Mary Davis, executrix of William Davis, was presented. Dated August 11. The account showed a balance, based on sale value, rather than appraisal value, of £182.14.3, dated December 26, 1782. [12]

1801 William Davis and John Branson were granted letters of administration for the estate of Mary Davis, late of Burlington County. Dated April 15. [13]

1802 Isaac Ivins, executor for the will of William Davis, renounced and declined executorship. Dated January 7. [14]

1802 Several heirs of William Davis sold land to Joseph Rockhill [perhaps a son-in-law of William Davis] and Jonathan Davis [perhaps a son of William Davis]. The heirs were Ann Ely, Meribah Branson, Hannah Silver, Abigale Robins, William Davis, & Ivins Davis, all heirs to the estate of William Davis, late of Burlington County, deceased. The tract was in Burlington County by the mill creek corner to Joseph Hopkins and lands of Samuel Kirby, Samuel Wright Hartshorn?, John Pancoast, Joseph Davis, and other landmarks. The deed was dated March 28. [15]

1805 The account of the estate of Isaac Ivins [father of Mary Davis] named his 32 living children and grand-children, including Mary Davis, and her ten children: Isaac Davis, Ann Davis (now wife of Jn Ely), Mary (now the wife of Jos. Rockhill), Merope (now the wife of Jn Bransen), Jonathan Davis, William Davis, Hannah (now the wife of D. Silvers), Abby (now the wife of Chas Robbins), Job Davis, Ivins Davis, each of whom received 1/32 share of the estate. [16]

1812 William Davis and John Branson presented the account of Mary Davis, wife of William Davis, deceased, to the Burlington County Orphans' Court. Payments were received from Aron Ivins and were made to Charles Robins, among others. The first transaction was dated April 15, 1801. Dated November 3, 1812. [17]
