1807 Christian Weigle, son of John and Margaret Weigel, was born on April 27, 1807. He was baptised on July 6, 1807 at Christ Lutheran Church, York, York County, Pennsylvania. [1] [2]

1811 Elizabeth Guise was born on November 20. [3]

1830 Father John Wigle was taxed for 190 acres and a distillery in Menallen Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania. [4] Christian was taxed as a single man. [5]

1831 Christian Weigle was taxed as a single man in Menallen Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania. [6]

1832 Christian Weigle was taxed as a single man in Menallen Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania. [7]

1833 "Married - On the 19th ult. (December 19, 1833), by the Rev L.L. Hinsch, Mr. Christian Weikel, of Menallen township, to Miss Elizabeth Gise, daughter of Mr Nicholas Gise, of Tyrone township.". [8] [9] [10]

1837 Polly Ann Wigel, daughter of Christian Wigel and Elizabeth, was born on October 24. She was baptized on April 20, 1838, at the Upper Bermudian Church in Huntington Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania. [14]

1839 Brothers Christian (laborer) and Jonas Weigle (occupation) were taxed in Menallen Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania. [16]

1840 Christian Weigel lived in Tyrone Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 1 (under 5), 1 (5 thru 9), and 1 (30 thru 39); and females: 2 (under 5), 1 (5 thru 9), 1 (20 thru 29), and 1 (30 thru 39). [17]

1841 Margreta Weikel, daughter of Christian Weikel and Elizabeth, was born on March 20. She was baptized on June 12 at the Upper Bermudian Church in Huntington Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania. [18]

1843 John Jeramiah Weigel, son of Christian Weigel and Elis., was born on July 16. He was baptized on September 17 at the Upper Bermudian Church in Huntington Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania. [21]

1848 Elias D. Weigel son of Christian and Elizabeth Weigel, was born on January 19. [22] [23]

1850 Christian Weigle (age 43, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Butler Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Elizabeth Weigle (age 38), Jesse Weigle (age 15), Lucinda Weigle (age 14), Mary Weigle (age 12), Margaret Weigle (age 9), John Weigle (age 7), and Elias Weigle (age 2). 1860 Christian Wigel (age 54, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Tyrone Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Elizabeth Wigel (age 49), Lucinda Wigel (age 25), Mary Wigel (age 23), Margret Wigel (age 20), Jeremiah Wigel (age 17), Elius Wigel (age 13), and George Wigel (age 5). [27] John Walhey and Margaret Weigle were listed two pages later in the census.

1870 Christian Weigel (age 63, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Tyrone Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Elisabeth Weigel (age 59), Jeremiah Weigel (age 26), George Weigel (age 15), and Hannah Guise (age 50). [28] [29]

1879 Christian Weigle died on October 2, at age 72y 5m 5d, and was buried at the Upper Bermudian Lutheran Church Cemetery, 185 Ground Oak Church Road, Gardners, Huntington Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania. [30] [31] [32]

The will of Christian Weigle, of Tyrone Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania, dated on August 24, 1878 named wife Elizabeth and seven children:Jesse Weigel, Lucinda married with William F Slaybaugh, Mary married to Howard Slaybaugh, Margaret married to Timothy Cooley, Jeremiah Weigel, Elias D Weigel, and George C Weigel. The witnesses affirmed the will on 14 October, 1879 [33] Other estate documents are available. [34] [35] [36] [37]

1899 Elizabeth Weigle, married, died of old age on April 4, at age 87, in Menallen MM, Adams County, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth Weigle was born in Tyrone Township [Adams County, Pennsylvania]. She was buried at Ground Oak on April 6. [38] [39] [40]
