1681 Elizabeth and her sister Sarah Curtis, daughters of Thomas Curtis, bound themselves out, at age 18 in 1681, to Benjamin Scott and Elias Farr for four years in England in return for passage to America and 40 acres in New Jersey. [1] [2]

1686 On 3 of month 3, at the Burlington [New Jersey] Men's monthly meeting, "W'm Atkinson & Eliz. Curtis proposed their intentions of marriage ye second time." [3]

1686 On 9 of month 3 [May], William Atkinson and Elizabeth Curtis, daughter of Thomas Curtis, both from Burch Creek, were married. Witnessed by Thomas Curtis and Jane Curtis, and others. [4] [5] [6]
