1684 Robert Craighead was born at Donoughmore, Co. Donegal, Ireland. [1]

1700 Robert Craighead entered the University of Glasgow. After his graduation there, he persued his studies in Theology at the Universities of Edinburgh and Leyden. [2]

1709 Robert Craighead was ordained as a colleague to Mr. Iredell in the congregation of Capel Street, afterward known as Mary's Abbey, Dublin. [3]

1714 Robert Craighead published "A Funeral Serman on the Occasion of the Right Honorable Catherine, Countess of Granard, who died December 9th, 1714."

1719 Robert Craighead was elected Moderator of the Synod of Ulster. [4]

1720 Robert Craighead delivered the Synodial sermon when he retired from the position of Moderator of the Synod of Ulster in Belfast on June 22. The sermon, entitled "A Plea for Peace" was about "the nature, causes, mischief, and remedy of Church divisions." [5]

1738 The will of Robert Craghead of Dublin was dated 15 April. Betham's abstract states that Robert mentioned wife Anne. [6]

1738 Robert Craighead died on 28 July. "Ireland. Dublin, Aug. 1. ... Last Friday died, at a Country Retirement in Rathfarnham near this City, the Rev. Mr. Craghead, Minister of a Meeting-House in Caple-Street. He is greatly lamented being a Gentleman of unblemished Character." [7] [8]

1739 Robert Craighead's sermon "The True Terms of Christian Ministerial Communion, founded on Scripture," with a preface containing a short account of the Author by Mr. Abernathy, was published.
