1812 Samuel Brenizer [Benizer] was a private in the War of 1812, from Carlisle, March 1st, 1814. We the men whose names are hereunto subscribed attach'd to Capt. George Hendel's Volunteer Rifle company in the bounds of the first Brigade Seventh Division Pennsylvania Militia and belonging to the fifth detachment now called into Service under the Command of Col. James Fenton acknowledge to have received from Robert Lamberton pay master of said detachment six dollars per man in part of additional pay or compensation allowed by an act of the Legislature passed the 29th day of March A. D. 1813 and agreeably to an act passed the 22nd day of February 1814. [1] Samuel Brenizer was a private in 5 Reg't (Fenton's) Pennsylvania Militia. [2] [3] [4] [5]

1816 Samuel Brenizey and Elizabeth Fakne/Hekne? were married on December 24, at the Lutheran Church, Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. [6]

1820 Samuel Brenizer lived in East Pennsboro Twp, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 2 (16 thru 25); and females: 1 (under 10) and 1 (16 thru 25). [7] [8]

1820 Margreta Brenizey, child of Samuel Brenizey and Elisabeth, was born on March 6. Margreta Brenizey was baptized on May 13, 1820 in Trindle Spring Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, witnessed by Adam and Margreta Eichelberger. [9]

1824 Susana Mag. Brenizer, daughter of Samuel Brenizer and Elisabeth, was born on November 4. Susana Mag. Brenizer was baptized on April 24, 1825, at the Saint Stephen Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Kingston, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, sponsored by Maria Mag. Brenizer (perhaps Samuel's mother). 1830 Saml Brenizer lived in Silver Spring Twp, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 1 (20 thru 29); and females: 2 (under 5) and 1 (20 thru 29). [12] Samuel Senseman and George Brenizer, named as adjoining landowners in the Orphans' Court estate settlement, were listed on the prior page of the census.

1830 Samuel Brenizer, perhaps this Samuel, was a Masonic clerk in the surveyor general's office. [13]

1831 Lucetta Ann Brennisor, daughter of Samuel Brennisor and Elizabeth, was born on May 6. Lucetta Ann Brennisor was baptized on November 27, 1831, in New Kingstown, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. [14]

1831 The death of Samuel Brenizer was posted in the American Volunteer newspaper, date 29 December, 1831. [15] [16]

1832 The administration bond for the estate of Samuel Brenizer, of Silver Spring Twp, Cumberland County, was posted on 9 January 1832 to administrator David Lehn. Bail George Forney and Nicholas Barr. $800. [17]

1832 On April 10, David Lehn, administrator of the estate of Samuel Brenizer petitioned the Cumberland County Orphans Court that Samuel had died intestate leaving three children in their minority and that the estate was insufficient to pay the debts. The estate included a tract of land in Silver Springs Twp adjoining Jacob Worly, Samuel Senseman, George Brenizer, and others containing 40 acres. David Lehm was granted authority to sell the land at public auction on 30 April [18]. The land was sold to David Orris and the sale was reported to the court on May 1 [19].

1832 On April 10, Elizabeth Brenizer petitioned the Cumberland County Orphans Court to appoint a guardian for minor children under the age of fourteen: Susannah, Eliza Jane, Lurretta Ann Brenizer. Peter Barnhart was appointed guardian for Susanna and Eliza Jane while Samuel Senseman was appointed guardian for Luretta Ann. [20]
