1957 On Wednesday, August 28, the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Edwardsville, Illinois, announced a promotion of Edward M. Grady,

Named Sales Manager By Olin-Mathieson. Edward M. Grady has been named sales manager, Mill Products, Western Brass Mills Division, Olin Mathieson Chemical corporation. The appointment, announced Wednesday, was made by David T. Marvel, the division's vice president for sales, who said that Grady's promotion, which is effective Sept. 3, fills a position which has been vacant for a year. Grady has been assistant to Marvel. His office will be at the division's headquarters in East Alton.
A native of LaGrange, Ill., Grady attended the University of Illinois and was with the Western Electric company, Chicago, for three years before joining Olin Industries, Inc., as a sales correspondent in 1949. He became supervisor of fabricated products sales in 1952 and customer service manager in 1954 when the company became Olin-Mathieson Chemical corporation. A year later he was appointed assistant to the general sales manager and in January, 1957, as assistant to the vice-president for sales.

1991 Edward M. Grady died on November 29. He was born on 15 March 1923. [1]

2017 Patricia Grady died on March 31 in Creve Coeur, Missouri. An obituary states, [2]

Patricia Grady, 93, passed away at 2:40 a.m., Friday, March 31, 2017 at Parc Provence in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

She was born in La Grange, Illinois, on January 4, 1924, the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Miles) Farley.

She married Edward Grady on June 24, 1945, in La Grange. He preceded her in death on November 29, 1991.

Patricia was a member of the former Lockhaven Country Club, the former 12th Street Presbyterian Church, and the Godfrey Women's Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Katherine (Charles) Wilson of Kirkwood, Missouri, and Martha (Scott) Thompson of Northbrook, Illinois; two sons Edward (Karen) Grady of Los Altos, California, and David Grady of Atlanta, Georgia; thirteen grandchildren, Chip, Amy, Chris, Beth, Ryan, Kevin, Ben, Lucy, Meg, Andy, Sara, Aaryn and Andrew; fourteen great-grandchildren, Allison, Emma, Ella, Brooklyn, Declan, Keegan, Kaden, Isabella, Olivia, Owen, Wyatt, Edward, Asher and Oliver.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son Michael Grady; a granddaughter Ann Wilson; a sister Dorothy Cultra.

A graveside service will be on Wednesday April, 5, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Reception to follow at 2:30 p.m. at United Methodist Village in Godfrey.

Memorials are suggested to Ann Elizabeth Wilson Endowment Fund for Dialysis Services at St. Louis Children's Hospital Foundation, One Children's Place, St. Louis, MO 63110-1077.
