Yisa S Rumala

I'm a graduate student in the Applied Physics PhD program at The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where I work in Professor Aaron Leanhardt's Atomic, Molecular, and Optical (AMO) physics research group (08/2007-present). Prior to joining his research group, I worked in Professor Christopher Monroe's Ion Trap Quantum Computing group here at Michigan for a year (07/2006-08/2007). Before coming to Michigan, I spent the senior year (09/2005-06/2006) of my undergraduate studies in Professor Gregory Boutis' Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging group at York College of The City University of New York (CUNY), where I completed my honors thesis. In addition, I participated in summer internships in Professor Claire Gmachl's quantum cascade laser group at Princeton University (summer 2004), and in Professor Martin Culpepper's compliant system group at MIT (summer 2005). Prior to joining Professor Boutis group, I worked with Professor Farley Mawyer in the mathematics department (2003-2005) at York. My email address is yisrum@umich.edu.

This is a copy of my Curriculum Vitae summarizing past work/research experience, honors/awards...etc. Also, here is a link to various press features of me.
