GENERAL NOTE:
This variable combines employment data for all Rs except nonworking 
homemakers and students (i.e., their data for employment in the past 6 
months are omitted). The disabled and homemakers or students who are 
also currently working have their current occupation coded here.
Retirees who are also currently working have past occupation coded 
rather than current occupation. If R is disabled and not working but 
has worked in the past, or if R is unemployed, then past employment is 
represented here.
The original 3-digit U.S. Census Occupation variable has been recoded 
into 71 subgroups, in order to protect Respondents' anonymity.
