In 1970-1976,1980,1984, "the women's liberation movement" was
specified. In 1986,1990,1992, and 1996 "the women's movement" was
used.
For "feminists" (1988 and 1992) see new vars VCF0253 and VCF0254
[note that in earlier versions of the Cumulative Data File the
1988 data for "feminists" were included in VCF0225; however, since
the 1992 NES study utilized both "women's movement" and "feminists"
the same distinction has now been established in the Cumulative
Data File].
In 1996, group thermometers were administered in random order.
