World peace, love to all, and...
- I bought an Alpha recently so I'll have a working ext32 driver for Alpha pretty soon.
Anyone who donates an appropriately sized SCSI drive will get a working Alpha port for the 2.1 kernel.
Anyone who donates a matched pair of 72 pin parity RAM SIMMs will have my eternal gratitude.- Anyone who donates a SparcStation (can be any junk machine; I already have a monitor so you don't have to ship any behemoths) will get a working port of the high-UID kernel for SparcLinux.
- Anyone who donates a PowerMac will get a working port of the high-UID kernel for LinuxPPC (I don't know what to say about MkLinux as I'm not really familiar with the Mach business and what hacks would be necessary there
- Anyone who wants a port for Linux/m68k... well, should ask. I already have a bunch of Amigas but I've never tried running Linux on them. Donation of an appropriately sized SCSI hard drive for me to do the development on will result in a port for the Amiga.
- For that matter, anyone who donates any hardware will get a port to that hardware.
- Anyone who donates a suitably sized hard drive will get a packaged version of the stuff for the Linux distribution of their choice.
- I'm also looking for a CD writer (that works with Linux!) so I can make up distribution CDs with the high-UID patch already loaded, and do hard drive backups without going over the network.
Off topic, I'm looking for a pair of decent low-frequency loudspeakers for large scale sound reinforcement/concerts/etc. (I have a pair of JBL 2445 drivers w/immense horns and I need something for the low end up to midrange)- I'd be interested in trading for something out of my pile of computer equipment.
I also like pizza (no meat please), you can send some to:
Chris WingUpdate: I'm going to be home for the holidays for a while, so don't send any pizza to that address until after New Year's. Instead, please make sure to have it delivered to:
