"HorseChicks Ravage Toronto" by Elizabeth Ann Lewis With permission and help from Chaos (Chris), Death (Dianne), TactWar (Cath), and StratWar (Perri) It was time. OK, so no one knew what time it *was.* It was time. Time to get suited up. Time to go forth and frighten. Time to ravage. "Does *anyone* have any purple eyeliner?" "Ack! Somebody, *please*, somebody say they have a longer cord!" "Wait, I know! I can stick it in my cleavage!" They were ready. They were cool. They were the HorseChicks of the Apocalypse. There were five. (I can hear you saying, wait, I thought there were four Horsemen, why five HorseChicks? Well, Chaos was one of them, and around Chaos, strange things happen.) In the center marched Death, the tallest of all. Flanking her were the two Wars, Strategic and Tactical. With them, sometimes dashing ahead, sometimes following in the wake, were Plague and Chaos, feeding off what the other three left behind, forging paths for the other three to walk. When them marched into Young Street, they had a mission. Shopping. "Did you hear that?" someone commented as they passed. "Where'd that weird heavy metal music come from?" "Ooooo," Chaos said. "Pretty! I like that black leather corset thing!" "Down, Kiki," Lizbet (ahem, Plague) said. "Like you're not cleveaged enough." "Yeah," said StratWar (Perri). "Leave some for us." "Kiki Kleveage," TactWar said (sounding an amazing amount like Cath), the "k" in kleavage obvious from her voice (well, it was obvious to them...) "Darkangel's shop," Death announced. "We must attack." And they attacked, and found it was good. And lo, the credit card companies did lament, but they were silenced. And in their path travelled many shadowy members, a Pack that did follow, but of their names we know none because there wasn't time to find out who wanted to go shopping, darn it! Later... "Coooooool," Lizbet said, looking at the CN Tower. "You know, I've seen it on TV a hundred times, but it person it looks so big and tall and thick... and..." Chris dragged her away before the little Merc Toy could go any further. "Don't go there, burn the map, kill anyone who's visited, OK?" Even later... Eaton Center. "Books!" En masse, the HorseChicks decended upon the hapless bookstore. Those hapless patrons visiting the bookshop fled in terror at the HorseChicks approach. "We like books!" Perri announced. "To read makes our speaking English good," Dianne intoned. After much time and much destruction, Chris was dragged out by her heels. "No, no, no, like that place, don't want to leave, no, no, no!" Dianne picked her up and shook her. "Mecca?" she asked. "Ooooo," Chris said, her expression turning dreamy. "Mecca. Oooo...." And thus it was that Death and Chaos departed, and the Pack melted away. And lo, TactWar did see a friend and hitch a ride to a train trip underway (which Plague must soon be joining as well.) And StratWar and Plague were left alone. Until....
