"So'kkaa. So'kkaa."
"I see. I see."

Hajimete dare ka o nagutta kinen no hi.
This was the day he first hit someone.

Dakara kyou wa panchi kinembi.
So he would commemorate it as "Punch Day."

Soryaa, anmari homerareta koto ja nai kedo, shitsurei na yatsu o gon'tte yatte nani ga warui?
Well, it wasn't exactly something to be proud of, but what was wrong with punching some rude guy?

Ore o onna to kanchigaeta yatsu ga warui.
//It was his fault for mistaking me for a girl.//

Sore izen ni, keisatsu no kamofuraaju ni nanka tsukatta no ga warui.
//Even before that, it was his fault for using me to camouflage him from the police.//

Sou, ore wa naanni mo warukunai.
//Right, I did absolutely nothing wrong.//

Sore ni douse nido to au koto no nai yatsu da shi na. Ahahahahaa.
//Anyway, I'm never going to see him again.//

Translator's note: <snerk>
"Aaa, nanka suu'tto shichatta."
"Ah, I feel kinda refreshed."

Douyara hankouki mo futtonde, ranran ashidori mo karui Kouhei-chan no sono kami ni wa, otoko ga Kouhei o onna to machigaeta genkyou no o-hana ga imada shikkari yurete ita.
Kouhei, who stepped along merrily, his rebellion blown away, still had the flowers responsible for making the guy mistake him for a girl stuck solidly in his hair.

Kouhei jishin wa sukkari wasurete ita keredo saa...
Kouhei himself had completely forgotten, however...

Tsuide ni, torinokosareta otoko ga, sorekara sanjuppun amari mo tachiagaru koto mo dekizu,
By the way, the fact that the guy left behind couldn't stand up for over thirty minutes,

"...A...ano gaki..., oboeterooooo..." To, mune ni ranran ikari no honoo tagirase-nagara unatte iyou to wa, souzou da ni shinakatta.
groaning, "...Th...that brat...I'll remember this..." while fanning the flame of anger in his chest, Kouhei didn't even imagine.

  1. oboetero = lit. "remember" (imperative)
Whereas in English a vanquished foe swears he'll remember the received insult, in Japanese he instead orders the victor to remember.
