Times change, and so does the Internet. My new blog about my current life in the San Francisco Bay Area can be found on Dreamwidth.

I have been living in Japan since the summer of 2004 as an exchange teacher from Michigan to Moriyama Girls' High School. I post updates and observances about life in Japan in my LiveJournal.

Since I do a lot of watching television and writing, I frequently tend to write fanfiction. The fanfic section also includes links to summaries and recommendations for Japanese manga and novels I have read.

Become acquainted with the NatPack, and catch up on the events that transpired in the Forever Knight Fanfiction Wars.

I graduated from the University of Michigan's MAC Program in 2003 with certification in secondary science.

I'm a former member of the JET (Japan Exchange and Teaching) Program. I lived for two years in Niigata-ken, Japan, in a small town near Nagano. My responsibilities included helping to teach English to students at two local senior high schools. For further information, see my Japan Annex.

I was previously enrolled as a graduate student at Michigan State University in the field of plant breeding/genetics, specifically involving potato breeding.

I worked in Mississippi at the Stennis Space Center through June and July, 1996.
