The project was to develop a finite element method for simulating nanotube growth.  Two kinds of simulations were performed; in the first case no electric field is considered while in the second case the growth happens under the effect of electric field.
The goals of this project were:

-Gain experience generating a numerical method to simulate nanotube growth.

-Develop a better understanding of the physics.
