Two dimensional finite element method for interface migration has been well established by B. SUN, Z. SUO and W. YANG [1].

Our project is focused on the extension of the method to a three dimensional domain.Following the same concepts (using the same weak statement and by introducing Constant Strain Triangular element ), the project achieves a reasonable result.

Compared with Jian-Ming Hunag and Wei Yang's model [2], our project gets a qualitatively similar result, which is based on different methodology for computing H (the viscosity matrix) and F (driving force column).

Since our project is concentrated on finite element formulation, there is not too much attention paid to comparison of different models or parametric studies.
