An Internet reference or guidebook of your choice. A wide selection is available at Borders on Liberty and Maynard. You should look for a book that focuses on your platform of choice (DOS/Windows/Mac), includes a history of the Internet, a glossary of terms, lists of gopher, ftp, WWW sites and listserv addresses, and "how to sections" on e-mail, ftp, gopher, and WWW.

  • The Elements of Style by Strunk and White
  • A handbook for writers, e.g. The Scott, Foresman Handbook for Writers
  • Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (3rd Edition)
