|We are pleased to announce our latest publication: The Red Wheelbarrow, a book length poem by the well-known Beat writer Jack Spicer. The Red Wheelbarrow contains ten full-page (measuring 20 x 28 inches) color woodcut illustrations by Wesley B. Tanner. He devoted over a year of research to draw and cut the blocks to prepare them for printing. The prints were pulled on an etching press and the poem was printed from hand-set type on the Washington handpress. Limited to an edition of twenty-five, each copy is beautifully handmade and housed in a unique and finely-crafted portfolio box that is illustrated with woodcuts printed on bookcloth that covers the box.
Page by page this sumptuous folio is a pleasure to hold and read. Already copies have been placed in such notable collections as the Library of Congress's Rare Book Room and the University of Delaware.
36 x 51 cm. 44 pages. 25 copies printed in Garamond type on Riseing Stonehenge, a mouldmade paper. Signed by the artist, 2006. $2000
