Some happy 2006 winners hoist their hardware.

Three 2006 finalists play it cool at last year's Town Tennis.
On the last day of the Doubles Tournament,
July 15th, this ever-lovin' tennis town lets loose with some don't-miss finals competitions, kids games, hot dogs and raffle drawings. It's an informal get together of Ann Arbor tennis lovers, hosted by AAACTA. Watch some great matches, win some prizes, chow down some free food and delight your kids - THAT'S a winning combo, we think. Mark your calendars and watch for more information.

UPCOMING DATES

They've been practicing with their AAACTA volunteer coaches for weeks. Now it's time to put their skills on the line. On Friday, June 8, AAACTA's 2007 Middle School Intra-mural Program will culminate in an afternoon of playful rivalry at Varsity Tennis Center. The city's five schools will be there. 4-6 pm, rain or shine. Lots of fun guaranteed.

With summer fast approaching, now is the time to download your City Tournament entry form. Four weekends of tennis promise plenty of play - see box at right for dates.

There's something for everyone at the Tournament. Open Division standouts, seasoned seniors, junior players and little kids with armloads of Town Tennis prizes will find something to their liking. And let's not forget the legions of players with average skills and a desire to be a part of a great community event.

Besides wielding a racket, consider supporting the tournament by becoming a sponsor.

An army of volunteers will be needed too as play time approaches. Contact AAACTA to join in. Tournament Director, Linda Woodland, sends special thanks to committee members who have been working since January to make this annual event a smash once again.
