INFORMATION FOR JUNIOR EVENTS

RESIDENCY & AGE REQUIREMENTS: All players must be residents of Washtenaw County. Age requirements are per USTA guidelines. Players must be amateurs who do not exceed the maximum age by the last day of the month during which the tournament is scheduled to start. Age divisions are 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 years. Players may not exceed the maximum age of the bracket at any time in the month in which the tournament is held.

FORMAT shall be best 2 of 3 sets; a 10 point tiebreaker will be played in lieu of a third set. There is a first round consolation for singles;
doubles is single elimination. Default time is 10 minutes from the scheduled match time. Players should be prepared to play three matches a day.
Parents please note: no coaching or assisting with rules or line calls. Each player may enter only one singles and one doubles event.

ENTRY FEES are non-refundable and include balls for matches, trophies for finalists and choice of a t-shirt or tote bag for all participants.

DRAWS: Draws will be posted on the AAACTA website by July 28.
Players should check the AAACTA website on July 28 for times and sites for first round matches .

RAIN POLICY: Report to tournament site 15 minutes before the start time, RAIN OR SHINE. The Tournament Director will determine
whether or not to delay matches or to reschedule. At the Director’s discretion, play may be moved indoors; players will be responsible
for indoor court fees.

CAUTION: Players should exercise caution in extreme heat and humidity; please bring adequate water and other supplies.
