Wisdom

For wisdom and excellent strategic advice read Sun Tzu's Art of War (in printer-friendly PDF, 81kb).

Starcraft

My pig playing Starcraft The greatest real-time strategy game yet made; a sequel to Warcraft. Try my maps: On Battle.net I am known as TheNevermind. In other games I go by variants of "Pig".

Magic: The Gathering

My family playing Magic Magic is a collectible card game depicting a world of creatures, people, and spells. The basic idea is to summon creatures and cast spells to defeat your opponent. The creatures and spells available to you depend on which cards among your collection you construct into a deck. I love Magic for its artwork, fantasy creatures, and strategic thinking (it was developed by a mathematician). Check out a couple of my favorite cards.

This is a typical picture of me and my family playing Magic. From left to right: my brother Rob, my brother-in-law Brian, and me. I'm playing a blue and white Sleight of Mind/Justice deck. I won.

My cousin and I playing Magic Since first playing on Easter 1995, I've collected over 12,000 cards and competed in many tournaments. The first prize I won was a booster pack of Fallen Empires. That's not much. Try, try, try again.... Since then I've finished in the top 8 of a few tournaments and won as much as a quarter box of booster packs.

Most of my Magic playing these days is through Magic Online. I have recently switched from PC's to an Apple PowerBook G4 and written a guide for running Magic Online on a Mac.

Warcraft

If you play Magic and own a computer, you've probably also played Warcraft. Here are some custom sounds I recorded to add to the game (or listen just for fun):
