Please feel free to contact me in the best way for you. I often work in the office at odd hours, so it may be the best place to try first. You are welcome to call me at home; if you call after 10 pm, please make sure it's important! If there's anything you are unsure of or do not understand, please let me help.

Grades will be posted to the web. Grades for Discussion Section will be based on two multiple-choice quizzes and class participation. Obviously, if you are not in section, you will not be able to participate, and your grade will reflect this. Discussion sections will focus on addressing topics primarily from lecture from as many perspectives as possible. You should come to section with questions and reading pertaining to the topics below completed. If you cannot come to your scheduled section, you may attend one of the other sections to make it up, but let me know.

Before the midterm and final, review sessions will be scheduled. The final exam will be held in 2011 MLB on Tuesday, April 25, from 10:30 am — 12:30 pm.

Additional Assignments:

March 8 or 10, at the beginning of section: Paper topic to be turned in. The topic should include at least two bibliographic sources that you expect to use.

March 29 or 31, at the beginning of section: Paper outline to be turned in. You should include at least four sources in proper bibliographic format.

These assignments are part of your class participation grade, done/not-done only. It is to your benefit to make use of these assignments as opportunities to get feedback and try out new ideas. I am happy to read paper drafts and help you find sources.
