Welcome to Ulysses Torassa's home page

Here you can learn a little about me, see my picture, and get links to some useful sites on the Web. Don't forget to send me your comments and greetings with the form at the bottom of the page.

I'm the science and technology reporter for the Cleveland Plain Dealer. A year away as a Michigan Journalism Fellow at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor left me with a hearty appetite for computers, the Internet and the on-line world. I'm also interested broadly in the sciences - especially biology, behavior and the social sciences. I'd like to hear from others with similar interests.

I've also set up a Home Page for GET ORGANIZED, my mother's personal organizing business. Go there to get great tips on dealing with your desk and closet, managing your time and paper and getting rid of junk mail.

Here are some other worthwhile places to visit

What's New on the Web

A good list of e-newspapers

The San Jose Mercury News on line

The home page for the National Press Club has a lot of good links to other journalism sites, like the home page for the American Journalism Review

A launching pad for journalists to various useful sites

The table of contents and covers from dozens of magazines

Selections from some current magazines

Time Warner's web service includes Time, Money, Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly and People magazines, as well as the ability to search back issues by key words

The New York Times' fax service available via the Web for now. You need Adobe Acrobat to read the contents. If you don't have it, you can download it from this site
