Bill Frist: Having His Cake and Eating It, Tool. I Mean "Too."

Frist, a candidate for the Repug presidential nomination in '08, and a doctor fercryinoutloud, has endorsed stem cell research, much to the consternation of his right-wing supporters. Today, he tried to win those supporters back by endorsing the teaching of "intelligent design."

I don't think they make flipflops big enough for Sen. Frist, although I'm sure there's a certain level of Dante's Inferno awaiting him--probably one that doesn't have a pool--so that he won't need flipflops.

Damn it all, it must suck to believe in hell, even one that is intelligently designed.

My Introduction to the Writing of Sam Harris.

If I may proffer another link, I first read Sam Harris on the Huffington Post. His essay, The Politics of Ignorance, is directed at Bush's endorsement of teaching "intelligent design." But he impressed me enough that I bought his book that day.

Okay, bring on the hate mail.
