The Ypsisphere
Contradicting a local blogger, I say that Ypsilanti has a thriving blogosphere -- an Ypsisphere, if you will. Most of the current members of the Ypsisphere can be found in the local blog roll of Ypsi bloggers. Considering that these same bloggers have been credited with creating an echo chamber of opinion in the recent mayoral primary, I say that we deserve a name reflecting our supposed importance. Yay, Ypsisphere!
I propose that the Ypsisphere include all Ypsilanti-based blogs, regardless of their political leanings.
All in favor say "aye"!

Is there an artistic soul who would care to work on a logo for the Ypsisphere? I'm sure the pay is horrible, perhaps in espresso or latte, but the possibility for immortality is great.
Feel free to email any suggestions to eric dot touchberry at gmail dot com.
When I stare at Ypsisphere for awhile, I first wonder how to pronounce it. (Sight-readers probably know what I mean.)
In trying to pronounce Ypsisphere, I first divide the word at the "p"s. That results in: Yp-sis-phere. Not good. How about breaking down the word into recognizable chunks with capitalization?
YpsiSphere? Seems kinda gay.
Or maybe Ypsi-Sphere? Seems too difficult to type.
On the other hand, it may be that recognizing how to say "Ypsisphere" will become a means to determine who is and who isn't an Ypsi blog reader.
Aye! Maybe hyphenating? Ypsi-Sphere Or may Tower-Chamber with our world-renowned phallic structure in the logo?
Yes! "Ypsi-Sphere" with a circle around an image of the water tower, as if the tower itself was included in the sphere.
Man, I'm thinking patches, coffee cups and t-shirts. :-)
Better check first to make sure nobody has ever associated Ypsi with anything round ;)
I was very sorry to learn that you took down your "Ypsilanti: the revolution starts here." products. I bought bumperstickers, t-shirts and coffee mugs from you, knowing that the profit would go to deserving Ypsi orgs.
Damn that Cherry. Damn him!
Ypsisphere? Echosphere is more like it....
Yeah, I think I heard that somewhere.
