Bill Frist: Having His Cake and Eating It, Tool. I Mean "Too."
Frist, a candidate for the Repug presidential nomination in '08, and a doctor fercryinoutloud, has endorsed stem cell research, much to the consternation of his right-wing supporters. Today, he tried to win those supporters back by endorsing the teaching of "intelligent design."
I don't think they make flipflops big enough for Sen. Frist, although I'm sure there's a certain level of Dante's Inferno awaiting him--probably one that doesn't have a pool--so that he won't need flipflops.
Damn it all, it must suck to believe in hell, even one that is intelligently designed.

BA from Princeton, MD from Harvard. How exactly did he come out conservative having attended two of the most liberal schools in the nation?
I believe the answer can be found in christian faith, controversial as that answer may seem. As a christian --or a person of any monotheistic church-- it is entirely allowed to hold equally strong beliefs in faith and science. Faith allows one the wiggle room to believe in the benefits of stem cell research while questioning the origin of the species (the science underlying the benefits of stem cell research, you see.)
Most importantly, being a person of faith means never having to say you're sorry, regardless of the institutions of higher learning that you attended.
Trusty sent me over this way. I thoroughly enjoyed your blog!
Thanks! I'll drop by your blog and return the compliment. :-)
