Meet School Board Candidate Amy Doyle
My home will be open to Ypsilanti voters Saturday, April 9, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., to meet Amy Doyle. We'll have some pasta, some veggies, some beer and some wine should you need more enticement to come on by. But I hope you'll take this opportunity to talk to the only declared candidate in the school board race about what's on your mind. Just don't mention the MSU - UNC game.
Our address is 3 N. Wallace, at the corner of N. Wallace and N. Congress. Please RSVP ASAP at ysseric@yahoo.com or 481-1774.
Thanks!

Thanks for the kind words about Joshua, Eric. Someone in AA sent it to me, wishing, I am sure, that she had found time to come to a performance. The AA News didn't cover it the way they do other local HS events. There was one letter to the editor about it. On another subject, my dad always taught me to soak my face first by repeated washing with warm water and soap, and to wash my face off after shaving with more warm soap and water. Must have been some WWII fear (justifiable) of septicemia from rusty razors. Please give my best to Amy tonight, as I will be unable to attend (again). I will send her some money if she still needs it without anyone running against her. You know, I sold her and Bob my old house on Washington Street. Yours from across the Park, Robert Glassman
Small world, Robert. Pat and Kathleen are also dear friends of ours; you and I are separated by one degree, twice. We ought to have some coffee and remove the middlemen.
I, too, was disappointed by the coverage of the play. While I don't think they lacked in attendance, they deserved more recognition.
As for Josh... I know we'll see more of him. My son Andrew, who will be in the marching band next year, tells me that Josh will be the new drum major. There's another addition to Josh's high school resume. :-)
Andrew must have been speaking figuratively, Eric, because Josh has no plans that he knows of to join marching band. Perhaps it is another Josh he is thinking of. Meanwhile, perhaps we will hook up one of these days to talk about GGG and Neons. R.
