TEACHING

I teach a minicourse focusing on paleobiology (Dinosaurs and Other Failure, GS 103) and an introductory historical biology course (Evolution and Extinction, GS 125). In each, the fossil record provides the basis for exploring the history of the earth and life on earth. I also co-teach Analytical Paleontology (GS 510/GS 511) in alternate years, and contribute regularly to Friday noon paleontology seminars (Fall and Winter terms: GS 536). Finally, I supervise undergraduate student research, mostly through UROP, and serve as Ph.D. advisor.
