Gendy, Eufemia’s son, would ask his teacher to assign him more homework each day.

He would stop by the Villafañes’ from school to his way back home, and even before having a bite to eat, Gendy would sit by his also visiting mom to do homework. 

After that, he was off to eat and to hang out the whole afternoon in good company.
