You couldn't look away for a second when weaving these eyes. If you did, you would find yourself unable to find the point in the pattern you just completed. But the weavers could talk and laugh even when they were making this border––whose eyes are believed to protect you.

I felt I needed 8 fingers on each hand to be able to make. It took me 10 minutes to weave a single eye. 16 fingers would not have made the task easier.
