Charles (Carl) Lutz 1895-1975

Carl Lutz was a Swiss diplomat who is
credited with saving the lives of 62,000 Jews in Budapest. Lutz stood up to
the Nazi authorities and issued thousands of "protective letters" to Jews.
He also claimed diplomatic immunity for numerous "protective houses" he
