Franconia Ridge

I would recommend a hike in the White Mountains of New Hampshire to anyone, and my favorite place is Franconia Ridge. Most hikers ascend Little Haystack which takes you above treeline to this ridge. From there, Mt. Liberty and Mt. Lafayette can be climbed along this trail by following the stone piles (cairns). I was very proud of my father who climbed Little Haystack this past summer.
