Web Accessibility and Adaptive Technology Coordinator,
Office of Institutional Equity, University of Michigan.

  • Work closely with all campus populations to help eliminate barriers to an open educational and working environment.

  • Move the University toward a position of leadership in online accessibility.

  • Support and advocate for the use and development of accessible interface technologies for people with disabilities.

  • Help define and develop web accessibility best practices for the U-M environment, assist in identifying goals and methods for attaining them, and provide administrative support to the campus units involved in web development.

  • Develop a systematic program for training faculty, staff, and students in web accessibility practices and opportunities, along with campus promotion of related programs.

  • Planned and coordinated web marketing projects and services.

  • Project managed the UM gateway, President’s, and many other University websites.

  • Oversaw and participated in web content production, including writing and editing.

  • Served as webmaster for the Client/Server Exchange, a joint research project with IBM and the UM, setting up and maintaining the C/SE website on a Lotus Notes Domino server.

  • Assisted in CITI web page development and maintenance.

  • Created a Notes Database for the ITD Documentation group so they could organize their UM user documentation electronically.

  • Created several multimedia presentations for the C/SE with Macromedia Director.

  • Prepared the CITI quarterly reports for IBM sponsors.

  • Developed course materials for Distributed Computing Environment (DCE) classes.

  • Provided writing and editorial support for team members in the development of DCE presentations and white papers.

  • Wrote and edited CITI user documentation, technical reports, and newsletter articles.
