Projects by Students at Iowa State University

These are examples of work done by my students while I was a teaching assistant at Iowa state. Most of these projects were done by students in Design Studies 201, the first computer-graphics class for students in the college, and the course with which I was most involved. A few of the projects are from students enrolled in later graphics classes: Arch 334, Arch 434, or Art 408. For all of these classes, students used three main pieces of software: AutoCAD, a solid modeler (Movie.BYU), and a painting program (which varied from semester to semester).


These projects were completed using Release 9 of AutoCAD. The surface-rendered images also used AutoShade, running on machines with 16-color monitors (hence the dithering effects).
