Quotes from students:

Excellent, excellent teaching. Shrutivandana had a very sensitive perception of what students actually understood and paced her instruction very effectively to fill in gaps where they existed.

Shruti was very helpful with clarifications and conceptual questions. She has been patient and quite effective in answering questions. I would strongly recommend her as a GSI for future probability courses.

Shruti was a great GSI. She was very concerned about my understandiung and would go far beyond from what I have asked her to make sure that I understand the materials. She was willing to say what she doesn't know and refer me to the instructor which shows integrity.

Shruti knows her material well, but moreover, she helped students solve problems in front of the class (i.e. high pressure situations). She was the most helpful in helping students learn how to approach the problem.

Shruti spends a lot of necessary time for each problem to make sure that the students understand. In her office hours she asks probing questions to lead students toward the right track istead of spoon feeding solutions. She is also readily available and prompt in emails. Overall, her presentation and explanation skills are exemplary - she is an excellent teacher.

Shruti was a good lab instructor. We enjoyed doing the lab under her.

Shruti is very helpful and would extend her normal office hours to help students. She was also helpful outside classroom giving advice to first year grad students on what they should do to prepare for quals I or how to find a project to work on.

Thanks Shruti, I learned a lot from you. I hope you will be my GSI in another class in the future.
