| Avalon Barbie | This is a photo of the new Avalon Barbie, the first doll for the "Portrait Collection", a series of fine bisque porcelain Barbie dolls featuring natural and realistic acrylic resin eyes accented by real fiber eyelashes. Notice the tilted neck. She wears an iridescent taffeta gown in plum and burgandy. There is an off-the-shoulder neckline framed by a double puff sleeve on one side, a silk flower and jewel corsage that cascades over her left shoulder. I don't have her in my collection yet, but she's a definite purchase for me. |
| Celestial Blue Romance Barbie | Yep, recognize this one from earlier photo of Serenade in Satin... This is a photo of the new Celestial Blue Romance Barbie. She's the second one in the Couture Collection. I'm not sure I'd buy this one...but I think she's pretty. An interesting update! I just saw this doll on the Sunday newspaper insert - and she's called Serenade in Satin...This photo is one that Mattel sent me last winter along with a survey to see how I'd like it...guess they didn't think the name would do her justice.. |
