[Scene 48: The basement of Theed Palace]

Obi-Wan chases Lord Maul through the passageways of the palace and into the basement.

Lord Maul: Good heavens. Are you still trying to win? You've got an overdeveloped sense of vengeance. It's going to get you into trouble someday.
[Energizes first one side, then the other of a double-edged lightsaber.]

Obi-Wan: Hello. My name is Obi-Wan Kenobi. You killed my Master. Prepare to die.
[Obi-Wan advances on Darth Maul and energizes lightsaber. Obi-Wan attacks.]

Obi-Wan (louder): Hello. My name is Obi-Wan Kenobi. You killed my Master. Prepare to die.
[Obi-Wan forces Darth Maul to retreat steadily. Darth Maul is reduced to blocking and parrying the Jedi's attacks.]

Obi-Wan (shouting): Hello! My name is Obi-Wan Kenobi; You killed my Master! Prepare...to die!

Lord Maul: Stop saying that!

Obi-Wan (shouting): Hello! My name is Obi-Wan Kenobi! You killed my Master! Prepare to die!

Lord Maul: No!

[Obi-Wan and Lord Maul are locked together, lightsaber blades crackling between them.]
Obi-Wan: Offer me money!

Lord Maul: Yes!

Obi-Wan: Power, too. Promise me that!

Lord Maul: All that I have and more! Please!

Obi-Wan: Offer me everything I ask for!

Lord Maul: Anything you want.

Obi-Wan: I want Master Qui-Gon back, you son of a bitch!

[Obi-Wan shoves Lord Maul, who staggers backward. Given an opening, Obi-Wan spins and cuts the Sith Lord down. The bisected Sith Lord falls to the ground.]
