[[Scene: On the open water. Princess Amidala is sitting in the boat, Yoda is piloting, Nute is standing about, and Obi-Wan is looking behind the nullgrav skiff frequently] Nute Gunray: We'll reach the cliffs by dawn. Why are you doing that?

Obi-Wan: Are you sure nobody's following us?

Nute Gunray: That would be inconceivable.

Amidala: Despite what you think, you will be caught. And when you are, the Senator will see you all hanged.

Nute Gunray: Of all the necks on this skiff, Highness, the one you should be worrying about is your own. [pause] Stop doing that! We can all relax, it's almost over.

Obi-Wan: I have a bad feeling about this...you are sure nobody's follow us?

Nute Gunray: As I told you, it would be absolutely, totally, and in all other ways, inconceivable. No one in the Trade Federation knows what we've done, and no one on Naboo could've gotten here so fast. [pause] Out of curiosity, why do you ask?

Obi-Wan: No reason. Suddenly, I just happen to look behind us and something is there.

Nute Gunray: Probably some local fisherman out for a pleasure cruise at night...through colo claw-infested waters.
[Amidala takes advantage of the distraction, dives overboard, and starts swimming away]

Nute Gunray [He turns suddenly at the splash of water]: Wha-wh-Go in! Get after her!

Obi-Wan: I don't swim.

Yoda: Only dog paddle, I do.

Nute Gunray: DYEEAAHHHHHH!! NEXT TIME YOU'LL FIND YOURSELF FLOATING HOME! VEER LEFT! LEFT! LEFT! [Shouts to Amidala] DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT SOUND IS, HIGHNESS? THOSE ARE THE COLO CLAW FISH. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME, JUST WAIT! THEY ALWAYS GROW LOUDER WHEN THEY'RE ABOUT TO FEED ON HUMAN FLESH. IF YOU SWIM BACK NOW, I PROMISE, NO HARM WILL COME TO YOU. I DOUBT YOU'LL GET SUCH AN OFFER FROM THE COLO CLAWS.

[Luke's Bedroom on Tatooine. Luke graps his blankets in tight, white-knuckled fists.]

Ben Kenobi: She doesn't get eaten by the colo claws at this time.

Luke: What?

Ben Kenobi: The colo claw doesn't get her. Now, I'm explaining to you because you look nervous.

Luke: I wasn't nervous. Well, maybe I was a little bit concerned, but that's not the same thing.

Ben Kenobi: Because we can stop now if you want.

Luke: No, you could read a little bit more, if you want.

[Ben continues reading. Scene changes back to the Nullgrav Skiff.]

Ben Kenobi: "Do you know what that sound is, Highness? Those are the colo claw fish."

Luke: We passed that, Ben. You read it already.

Ben Kenobi: Oh, oh my goodness I did. I'm sorry. Beg your pardon. All right, all right. Let's see. She was in the water, the colo claw was comin' after her, she was frightened, the colo claw started to charge her, and then- -

[Amidala is levitated out of the water as another fish eats the colo claw]

Nute Gunray: Put her down, just put her down.

Yoda: Always a bigger fish, there is.

Obi-Wan: I think he's getting closer.

Nute Gunray: HE'S NO CONCERN OF OURS. SAIL ON! [To Amidala] I suppose you think you're brave, don't you?

Amidala: Only compared to some. [The skiff has arrived at the base of The Cliffs of Insanity.]

Obi-Wan: Look! He's right on top of us. I wonder if he's using the same wind we are using.

Nute Gunray: WHOEVER HE IS, HE'S TOO LATE. SEE? THE CLIFFS OF INSANITY! HURRY UP! MOVE THE THING! AND THAT OTHER THING! [pause] MOVE IT! We're safe. Only Yoda is strong enough with the Force to go up our way. He'll have to sail around for hours till he finds a harbor.

[Yoda begins pulling himself up the cliff with Amidala, Obi-Wan, and Nute hanging on for dear life.]

Obi-Wan: He's climbing the rope. And he's gaining on us.

Nute Gunray: Inconceivable! [pause] FASTER!

Yoda: I thought I was going faster.

Nute Gunray: YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE THIS JEDI MASTER, YOU WERE THIS GREAT LEGENDARY THING, AND YET HE GAINS!

Yoda: Three people am I carrying, and only himself he's got.

Nute Gunray: I DO NOT ACCEPT EXCUSES! I'M JUST GOING TO HAVE TO FIND MYSELF A NEW JEDI MASTER, THAT'S ALL.

Yoda: Don't say that, Nute. Please?

Nute Gunray: DID I MAKE IT CLEAR THAT YOUR JOB IS AT STAKE?
