General Directions: Ann Arbor is located 35 miles west of Detroit. Nichols Arboretum is located adjacent to UM's Central Campus in Ann Arbor.

From I-94: Take US-23 North, exit at Washtenaw Avenue, west, turn right onto Observatory. Then turn right onto E. Medical Center Drive and right onto Washington Heights.

From M-14: Take the Main Street Exit (Exit #3), which turns into North Main Street. Turn left on Huron Street, which makes a big turn to the right around the university's power plant and new construction. Huron Street becomes Washtenaw Avenue. Turn left on Geddes Ave., then left again on Observatory. Then turn right onto E. Medical Center Drive and right onto Washington Heights.

Bus lines: the #2, 4, 14, and 12U all go past the Arb regularly. On the weekends, they run hourly in the morning and 1/2 hourly in the afternoons.Weekdays, they tend to run either every 15 or 30 minutes, depending on the Route.

Parking Info:
Weekdays: You should park in a city or a U-M hospital parking structure and walk to the Arboretum.
Weekends and evenings: Free parking available in parking lot M-29 off East Medical Center Drive or parking lot M-28 on Washington Hts.
