I grew up in the city of
Pune in India.It used to
be a small town in the olden days, and was infact a hill station once
upon a time. Today it is a big city with a potpourri of people from all
parts of India. However, Pune still retains its unique maharashtrian
character which is evident in the day to day lives of the punekars,
their culture and traditions. Pune has a glorious
history
and was a strategically important for the
Maratha Empire.
It is famous for education and learning and was known as the Oxford of
the East. I attended Abhinava Vidyalaya, Pune (Std. I-V), Loyola High School, Pune (Std. V-X). After Xth std., I went to Fergusson College, Pune for junior college. I went on to do my Bachelors and Masters in electrical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB). I loved living in Mumbai, the economic and financial capital of India. In the Summer of 2001, I did an internship at Infineon Technologies, Bangalore. My office was in the Bangalore Tech Park, a beautiful location. The next summer in 2002, I interned at Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR), Bangalore in the speech processing group. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Computer Science at the University of Michigan. Click here for maps of:
