I am a direct descendent of Roger Williams (the founder of Rhode Island, North
America's first democracy), and John Alden (he came over on the Mayflower).
This is cool, but it hasn't gone to my head. Unlike Roger Williams, John Alden
was not very tolerant of other religious faiths.
