Frequently Asked Questions About the Romance Novel Database

There are really only a few questions people ask about the Database, but it seems everyone asks them, so I'll put the answers here.

Why isn't (fill in your favorite author here) in the database?: Well, these are all books that I've read, or that the two people who have helped me with the database have read. We haven't read any books by that author, so the author isn't in the database.
I've written some romance novels. How can I get my books into the database?: I have to read your books. If you write Regencies, the odds are good I'll read you sooner or later. Some authors have sent me their books, but I don't want to encourage people to do that, since it takes me months to get them added and I feel guilty.
Who does the ratings?: Anyone with World Wide Web access who fills in the form and includes their full name. I really do throw away ratings with no names on them. I don't put ratings in myself -- I think the fact that a book gets in at all reflects my bias enough. But I am thinking of putting in a "My Favorites" page, since so many people have asked.
How much time does this take?: A lot -- over 10 hours a week, on average. I don't get paid for it, and I don't charge anyone to be included.
