Great book, real page turner, ending seemed a bit rushed. (M.R., 5-8-97) YOU BELONG TO MY HEART is mind candy. Now, I don't mean that as a put down, simply a description of what I got out of it. Like candy, it's light, tasty, a pleasant time spent not thinking very much (or at all). Ryan's writing style is light and fast (don't look for a lot of detail and period descriptions beyond the barest nod at either). Characterizations are...oh forget about it. Just remember if you eat too much candy, your teeth rot out and reading too much Ryan will atrophy your brain. Pass the Jolly Ranchers!
