Reader comments:
Kept me interested. I like the way the characters were depicted. (E.H., 12-26-96) While it has been some time since I read this book, I remember that what really worked for me was the hero's giving up his need for vengeance for the love of his heroine. Very romantic. (L.G., 11-22-96) The best of the three! A good intro to MJP's work. (J.A., 9-27-96) I liked this book and felt it was a good lead in to the next book in the trilogy which was better and the last book which was the BEST (R.P., 9-25-96) The best book in this series; much less "adventure" oriented than most of her other books. I really sympathized with both the hero and heroine. (K.W., 9-6-96) An avid fan of Mary Jo Putney's work, I really enjoyed this book. The heroine was very human and likable. I just found the second book of this series and it is even better. (S.K., 6-17-96) I preferred "Silk and Secrets" to this story, much more of an adventure. This story was enjoyable none the less. (N.J., 5-28-96) I really liked this book--despite a silly dissertation on Oriental sexuality and quite a bit of melodramatic sleaze. The hero was very attractive, and the heroine was one of the most sympathetic and fully drawn I have seen in romances. I did not like the rest of this trilogy nearly as well. (E.P., 5-23-96)
