This is a great book & my favourite MacKade book so far (I still have Rafe to read). (J.C., 4-29-97) Great Series. All of Nora Roberts books are great, but the serial books are the best (S.W., 4-27-97) Hey, this MacKade series is kind of fun! Good beach book. The characters were people I'd like to know, and the family relatioships were very realistic. I also reccomend: Dance of Dreams, A Matter of Choice, Endings and Begginings and The Macgregor series. All the books mention the "ghosts" they hear or feel from the Civil War era. Each brother and their "significant other" seem to have an affinity with a particular character from the past.
