Reader comments:
I liked the suspense in this one. Much better than just straight romance as they can become to bland after awhile, and can turn you off the genre. happy to say this isn't one of those. (C.C., 4-16-97) An entertaining read. Especially impressive were the many snappy dialogue exchanges between heroine and hero; especially memorable was Finn coming in on the airplane from London. I wish Roberts would stick to well-edited mainstream romantic/suspense novels like this book and HIDDEN RICHES and stop churning out all those flimsy, formulaic romances. I mean, that "Three Sisters" formula of hers is becoming as tiresome as the Chekhov play! (E.P., 3-16-97) I've read all of Nora Robert's books, and this one was one of my favorite. The characters are interesting, and likable. The romance is believable, and the mystery suspenseful. I've recommended this book to several people, and they all said they liked it (even the non-romance readers!). (C.B., 1-13-97) I really liked this book. Very entertaining. Not fabulous as far as a romance. But definitely a good read. (A.D., 12-27-96) Good book. This is the first one I've read by this author. I'll read others. Suspenseful whodunit. (T.M., 11-20-96) This book is OK. I've read others much better by her. (Y.P.F., 8-24-96)
