Reader comments:
A stunning, deceptively simple Regency about two people destined for one another and separated by class and circumstance. Hard to find, but if you do, read it! ml (M.L.N., 6-2-97) Wolf uses simple, lucid language to tell a pleasantly romantic if obvious story. Her characters are not "deep," but they are not stereotypes either--and she captures them in strong, compact descriptive sentences and conversation. This is one of her best Regencies; she's since gone on to bigger and better things. (E.P., 1-4-97)
