- Why can't I give this book more than a 5. It just isn't fair. I read this book in '93! This was an awesome book that I regret almost not reading. It would have been sorely a shame if I hadn't. That was 5 years ago and I still remember it like I read it yesterday. Maybe I should read it again...be back in two days. (L.W., 5-19-98)
This book is really touching. The feel of it is like Titanic because you feel that they should be together but the situation and time is not on their side. (A.A.A., 5-15-98)
I like time travel books and I especially love the montgomery family. My favorite romance novels are the historical ones and this one was great. I highly recommend it! (H.H., 5-14-98)
YOU ARE THE MOST INCREDIBLE WRITER! THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL ESCAPES FROM THE REAL WORLD THAT YOU PROVIDE. I FURTHER THANK YOU FOR THE MANY WONDERFUL DREAMS THAT YOU HAVE BROUGHT TO LIFE ON PAPER FOR MANY OF US TO VISUALIZE MORE CLEARLY. PLS. TELL US WHERE WE CAN WRITE LETTERS TO YOU OR JOIN A FAN CLUB SO THAT WE MAY RECEIVE ITEMS SUCH AS THE MONTGOMERY FAMILY TREE -- I'M DESPERATE. WE LOVE YOU (K.S., 5-12-98)
This was the best book I have ever read. I wish it would never end and there was a sequel to this. This was also the first book I have ever cried at...it was the best (R.K., 4-26-98)
This is the first one I ever read of Jude's. I have most of her books now and would love a family tree. I don't know how many times I have read this book!! I now have my own Nicholas (fiance's name is Nicholas AND he is English). Keep it up, Jude!! Jamie in Texas=) (J.D., 4-12-98)
I loved it like I do all of Jude Devereux's books. The first one of her books that I ever read was "Sweet Liar" I couldn't put it down, and it made me laugh and cry . When I finished it I knew I just had to have more of her books . I think of my husband as my own" Taggert man" he is wonderful and so are all of Jude Devereux's books. Thank You Jude ! And keep up the great work!!!!!!! (C.C., 3-12-98)
I borrowed this book from my local library and couldn't put it down. Now I want to own my own copy but find that I can't buy it in the U.K. as it is out of print. Please print some copies for the u.k. public. (B.H., 3-11-98)
Oh God! I love Deveraux's creations and this is one of the best ever! (L.P., 3-7-98)
I have never read a book by Jude D. that I haven't just loved. I believe that I have every book that she has written and written well.(which is all). Thank you for letting my put in my input, and Jude, dont ever stop. We would all miss you very much. Thanks C.E. Oregon (C.E., 3-6-98)
Everything I read of Jude D is always the same. GREAT!!!! I love all her books and wait patiently (on pins and needles) for her next book to come out on paperback. (K.R., 2-24-98)
I love Jude Deveraux especially this book. I am also in love with the Montgomery's and Taggarts!!
I cried so much in Rememberence in fact I am still moved when I think
of how Callie and Talis die!! Please can someone send me the family tree
of the Montgomery's at MFJX7SZK@STUD.MAN.AC.UK (S.Z.K., 2-18-98)
This is one of those books you can't put down until you're finished reading it. When you finally do finish reading it, you have a feeling of withdrawal...you wish the book would never end. (P.Y., 2-13-98)
I loved this book. It made my heart weap with such sorrow one minute and jump up and dance the next. Jude Deveraux is one of my favorite writers for her ability to grab your heart and pull you through the whole book. THIS is what Romance is! (J.S., 2-13-98)
This is one of the all time best! I lent it to a friend to read, but since I didn.t get it back in time to read again, I bought another copy. I have read it 12 times. I still cry at the end! (S.S., 2-4-98)
Jude Deveraux is my all time favorite author. I have everyone of her books. I love her attention to detail and uncany wit. Thank you so much for sharing your dreams. (B.S., 2-1-98)
Jude, please write more and more can never get enough! You always provide such a wonderful escape. Please hurry! I love the books that are time travel like Wishes. You are truly the best keep up the wonderful writing. (J.N., 2-1-98)
Jude D. is my favorite author. A Knight In Shining Armor is one of my favorites, but all of her books are my favorites and I could never say that one is better than another without feeling I have betrayed a close friend. I have just acquired Counterfeit Lady. It has taken me three years to find this copy and I am still on the lookout for Casa Grande. That is the only book of Jude's that I don't own. I have reread all of the novels at least a dozen times and don't see a time when I will ever tire of them. I've just read An Angel For Emily and I am astounded that Jude could suprise me, but she did. Her books keep getting better and better. Please know that you have my undying gratitude for the joy your books have brought to my life. Jeannie Castaneda, Houston, Texas. (J.C., 1-30-98)
I have lent this book to all of my closest friends, and after they read it they became as big a fan of Jude Deveraux as I. I laughed, and cried and then laughed some more. Jude's books do this to me a lot! Especially Knight and Rememberance. If I could ever meet Jude I would love to give her a hug and thank her for her wonderful work. (S.C., 1-30-98)
This is one of my top ten favorite books of all time. I have an extensive home library and can tell you that I have read thousands of romance novels. Jude D. is a wonderful writer. I will never forget A Knight in Shining Armor. I laughed out loud at times and couldn't keep from crying at other times. Absolutly one of the best. (S.W., 1-25-98)
I've read all her books between Sept 97 and now - I'm really ready for another one to be published. She has an amazing ability to keep one spellbound. (R.T., 1-23-98)
Nobody seems to care that Nicholas was left by himself for all those years until he died. Dougless however came back and found someone to live the rest of her life with. Anyway it makes me feel bad that Nicholas died alone without Dougless. (M.R., 1-23-98)
I have read all the Deveraux books I can get my hands on...I've read this book twice, and I cried harder the second time...I love the Montgomerys and the Taggerts...I wish they were real!!!!! I have read the Velvet, James River, and Twin Series..and most of the books after that...I love how everyone in inner mixed with eachother!!!!! I can't stop reading once I have started.. (S.G., 1-22-98)
Jude, I have read all and everyone of your books and reread them . My
favorties are your Velvet books. I am looking for them in hard back do
they come that way? Also can you find me a Montgomery man for my very
own? Just Kidding unless you know where there really are men and not
boys. Keep on writing because I love to read your books. Gods be
to you and yours. Your faithfull fan ,Sandy McDaniel and with a name
like McDaniel you can tell where my favorite books are. (S.M., 1-22-98)
A knight in shinning armour is one of my favorite books and I have my sister to thank for recommending this book to me. Now I constanstly read Jude Deveraux books. I have read about a dozen and got my friend to buy me three of her books for my birthday this December. I must say that Black Lyon is my favorite after "A Knight in Shinning Armour" and I stayed from 3am to 7am to read it. I have never cried so many times during a book as I did in Black Lyon. Keep writting those books! (D.L., 1-16-98)
This was the first book I ever read of Jude's!!! I have even re-read it about
4 times. When I read all her other books it takes me about 2-3 days because I
can't put it down. All the ones I've read I just love. When I'm done reading one
of her books, I just sit. I get really depressed that it ended. Then I realize I
have gotten nothing done around the house in the last 2 days!!! I do my chores and then
pick up another one of her books and don't move again till I fall asleep or finish her book!!!!
Thanks for writing such wonderful stories!!!!!!!!!! (J.D., 1-12-98)
I read this book preparing to be amazed because every single comment on this page was so good. after the first couple chapters it was still reading like a somewhat interesting but pretty cookie-cutter romance novel, and bu\y the time I got to the part when she goes back and sees him when he doesn't know her (hello? you don't want to see people fall in love and then in the next page the guy doesn't even know her!) and he was such an asshole I totally hated it. This sucked, even if I hadn't had great expectations that got let down! (A.P., 1-8-98)
I cry my eyes out every time I read this book! Why can't I find someone like Nicolas? The most beautiful man to have ever walked the earth. It is romance at its best! (S.H., 1-6-98)
I WOULN'T MIND HAVING AN AFFAIR WITH A MONTGOMERY, BUT I'D RATHER MARRY A TAGGERT! (A.C., 6-3-97)
Bravo!!!!!! A friend of mine gave me "Velvet Promis" to read. I told her I really didn't read romance novels but she insisted. I WAS HOOKED!!! I finished the Velvet series in 2 weeks flat!! I was sad for weeks after that because I wished there were more books in the series. After that, I read AKISA and I LOVED IT!! I was so thrilled by the ending! It was perfect! (S.L., 6-3-97)
I have read and reread this book several times. There are really only
two writers who have totally captivated and kidnapped my mind, they
are Johanna Lindsey and Jude Devereraux. I have read everything they have ever written and this book is one of their best! (R.S., 5-31-97)
I used to manage a book store and I would tell everyone to read this book. I have read every book Jude has written including a used copy of Casa Grande. Please put out more books soon. (D.N., 5-30-97)
I agree, A Knight in Shining Armor is so touching. I continuously read the book over and over..!! You are by far my favorite author...please keep them coming, I look forward to your work. (T.F., 5-29-97)
THIS IS THE FIRST JUDE DEVERAUX POCKETBOOK I'VE READ. NOW, I HAVE A COLLECTION
OF ALL OF HER BOOKS. I GOT SO ADDICTED TO HER THAT I WOULD EVEN ASK MY BROTHER TO
SCAN ALL THE BOOKSTORES IN THE U.S. WHENEVER HE GOES THERE JUST TO FIND ME THOSE
BOOKS I CANNOT FIND HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES. KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOUR IS
INDEED A MASTERPIECE. WHENEVER SOMEONE BORROWS A BOOK FROM ME, I ALWAYS
RECOMMEND IT, FIRSTHAND! HOW I WISH, IT COULD COME TRUE! (B.D., 5-29-97)
There are only two books in my 25+ years of reading romance novels that I prayed would not end. This was one and If You Believe by Kristin Hannah was the other.
When I came to the next to last page I didn't want to turn it because I didn't want to let go of the dream. Truly heartwarming and heartbreaking read.
Thank you Jude Devereaux. (L.M., 5-29-97)
One of the best i've read. Really love the time travel element. (D.C., 5-28-97)
I absolutely love Jude Deveraux! The Montgomery and Taggert men are my dream men. I have read every book that she has written about them, and I want MORE!!! (S.M., 5-27-97)
Jude Deveraux is a really fantastic autor. I have read nearly all of her books. (S.M., 5-27-97)

This my very very favorite book of all time.I thought it had plenty of romance and suspence.WONDERFUL! I have read this book over and over but never get tired of it. (D.H., 5-20-97)
There is nothing better than curling up with Judith's books, I normally hate time travel, but I've read all her other books so why not, WOW. I want more! (R.S., 5-20-97)
This is the 1st book of hers that I read and now I own and have read nearly every book she has ever written.I would like to know how to contact her and how to get CASA GRANDE. Jude is the best! (J.D., 5-19-97)
I just read this book for the second time! It IS my all time favorite of Jude Deveraux!!! Or any author I have ever read! I'm a Jude fanatic...can't get enough! Jude you need a web page, YOU ARE THE BEST!!! When I read A Knight In Shinning Armor I escape my very boring life and dream about my own special KNIGHT!!!! (J.D., 5-18-97)
SHE IS A MAGICIAN WITH WORDS SHE TRANSPORTS YOU BACK IN TIME WITH FEW CHOICE WORD . SURLY THE BEST WRITER OUT THERE (M.L., 5-17-97)
A Knight in Shining Armor is the first book I've read that have made
me wish it came true. I feel deeply in love with the characters and
the story of the dashing "knight." (B.V., 5-13-97)
I love this book. It was the second romance novel that I ever read and have reread it many times. (M.O., 5-12-97)
Best novel ever, second is "Wishes". I never want to read any books by another writer, I only want Jude. I love You. Keep writing about the Montgomerys. (P.S., 5-12-97)
I got started reading Harlequins as a teenager, but then stopped reading romance and went to Sci-fi and fantasy because they were less predictable. Then one day I was in a bookstore and happened upon The Velvet Promise, back in 1984. It was one of the most moving books I had ever read, though I often felt someone should have hit Gavin over the head for being sooooo dense. I have devoured every other book she has written, and loved Knight in Shining Armor. It is truly one of the best. I laughed and cried all the way through it. Definately movie material. The only book of hers that I have been dissapointed in was The Heiress. I felt it was probably written to fulfill contract obligations, the plot seemed to be bits and pieces of her other novels. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I had not read her other medieval romances. But Legend and all the others are wonderful. (P.I., 5-10-97)
AKISA is the best book I have ever read. I recommend everyone read it. (L.L., 5-9-97)
Loved the book. Loved Nicholas. Cried so hard at the end. Best time
travel book on market. Tried others, none compare. Only other that comes
close is the middle story in Rememberance. Cried then too. (L.S., 5-8-97)
I was assigned to read this book for a college class on Women Writers, and eventhough Ihad
never read a romance, I fell in love withthis book!It was great (J.M., 4-30-97)
The book was pretty good up until they returned to the present. I was very disappointed. I've never read a Jude Deveraux book since! (Y.P., 4-26-97)
I absolutely loved this book. After starting, I couln't stop reading
till 3pm when I finally finished it. Reading it, I was alternatively
laughing and crying. Absolutely fabulous!!! (S.L., 4-24-97)
This was my first JD book ever-- to tell you the truth, I had stolen it from my Grandma-- now---I just cant get enough-- Im in my 20's now, and everyone is always buying me hardcover copies of all the books-- I trash the paperbacks-While all of my friends are reading Ginsberg, and the like-- I proudly sit with my latest J.D. novel! Kudos! (K.G., 4-22-97)
I absolutely loved this book! It was my first Jude Deveraux book and its quality promted me to buy several more. I love all of them! They are the best romance books I have ever read. I especially like the sense of honor the men and women have. (A.H., 4-22-97)
"A Knight in Shining Armor" is the best historical romance I have ever read. The mixture of romance and time travel made for a "cannot-put-down" book. It is the kind of book you just don't want to end. (B.K.H., 4-22-97)
I have written a romance, I wonder do you know how to locate ms.Deveraux? She is an awesome writer, puts the sweetness back into the word love. Please respond, I am searching for an address for an autograph for my knight in shining armor. again, she is a must for any bruised heart, she writes about friendship in love and that is so veryu important. (M.A., 4-21-97)
It was and is the best romance novel that I have ever read. When I was done reading it I sent it around to all my friends. When I got the book back it was so beaten up. LOL. But I knew that everyone had enjoyed it. Its like that saying *smile pass it around* samething with this book. You enjoy and then pass it around. I hope there might be a sequel in the future. If so I'll buy my copy and pass that one around. (K.D., 4-18-97)
When I first read the book, I was about 9 or 10. Now I'm going on 14.
My sister was the one who borrowed the book from a library.Although I
didn't quite understand the whole story, I remember being totally
enchanted by what I still consider the best and most, utterly romantic
lovestory throughout time.No story can ever compare to 'A Knight In
Shining Armour'.The only romance novels I ever read are by Jude
Deveraux. Now,I own several copies of a some novels by the best romance
writer in the world!
Thanks for all the books!
Lulu (L.P.Y.J., 4-18-97)
This is one of Jude's best- the only books by her that I liked more were "Sweet Liar" and "Remembrance". I was in stitches throughout the entire time I was reading it- great book! (R.H., 4-16-97)
A Knight in Shining Armor gave me hope in Love when I most needed it.
I thank you for writing such a beautiful book. I've read all of your
books because of this one. (X.H., 4-16-97)
This is by far the best romance book that i have read.. It seems that everyone is in accord with that.. (S.W., 4-12-97)

"my" family in your next book. Thanks for all the great moments! I tell
everyone about them... you've got me hooked, my heart belongs to
Nicholas but I'll be your fan forever!..Deborah In Texas (D.K., 4-9-97)
Jude Deveraux is the ultimate Romance writer. No one can hold a candle
to her. This book cleary illustrates her awesome talents. (A.W., 4-8-97)
This is what I call a well written novel. I love romance novels but this one is definately the best i've ever read. Jude is a brilliant author and I reccomend this book
to everyone. It is one of the best books she's ever written along with a couple of other books. It contains everything a romance novel needs......! (R.H., 4-5-97)
It was recomended to me by a friend. It was very good. I recomend every time I get. (B.D.W., 4-5-97)
I loved this book. Everytime I think about N & D I get chills. I hate coming to the last page because I know it's going to end. And Rememberance, OH MY GOD (or JUDE I should say) you are absolutely brilliant. I cried and cried knowing that Callie and Talis never had each other. God they loved each other soooo much. (C.M., 4-4-97)
Jude was one of my first authors in romance she really turned me on to time travel. This book had me laughing and crying and just totally in love with her writing. Keep writing, I want more.....pam (P.K., 4-3-97)
I love everything that Jude as ever written. She's the best...I actually hated reading until I read a Knight in Shining Armour, then I read every book she had written to date, within the matter of a couple of months. I can't wait for her next book. Do you have any ideas where I can find Casa Grande...I didn't know about that one. Any brief summary of the book? (B.N., 4-1-97)
A KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR is my all-time favorite book and Jude Deveraux is my all-time favorite author! I have all of her books and have read each one at least twice. No one tells a story or involves the reader like Jude Deveraux! I wish it were possible for her to create these wonderful books even faster. (S.M., 3-31-97)
LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!! Want to name my daughter Dougless! (C.P., 3-27-97)
I love Deveraux's books and this one toped them all for me. I read
it five time and will read it again. (N.S., 3-25-97)
This book made me laugh and cry, sometimes at once. An author has made her mark in my heart with this novel. (A.P., 3-25-97)
I don't think I've ever read one book more than I've read "A Knight in Shining Armor." Not only was it a grand romantic adventure, but I fell in love with Nick and Doug almost from the first moment I met them. I've read a lot of romance novels, but I must say that this ranks among my top five favorite if it isn't number one!! Keep up the good work Jude and keep giving us these wonderful books. (A.L., 3-24-97)
I'm really more of an historical reader and love all JD's historicals. I hesitated when I saw this timetravel theme and didn't want to be disappointed. BOY WAS I NOT DISAPPOINTED!!! This was a great book that I would hesitate to ANYONE! For JD to get me to read outside my "mainstream" you know it's GOOD STUFF! (K.C., 3-23-97)
I cried thinking about Nicholas having to live the rest of his life
without her. And even though Reed carried his soul, it still wasn't
Nicholas. (M.C., 3-21-97)
Jude Deveraux is the best romance writer in the whole world!I'm
reading 'Rememberance' at the moment and I can't wait to see how it
would end!I love time travelling books and hope that this special
Romance writer will write more books like my favourite book,'A knight
in shining armour',which I have read over 5 times! Thanks for the
special joy you have brought into my life! (L.P.Y., 3-17-97)
I love Jude's books, I recently had a baby and thought I was having a girl, her name was to be Samantha Claire (Sweet Liar and The Duchess), but we had a boy and his name is Nicholas Alexander (A Knight in Shining Armor & The Raider)& my cat is Callasandra (Rememberence) I've read every one of them more than once!!! (D.M., 3-16-97)
I "loved" this book. I am a great fan and have several books by Jude. When will her new book Legacy be in paperback>

I loved this book as I do all of her books. I want them to continue forever. TV movies were made of these. The books are so good we might be disappointed in the movies.Remebrance was a good book too. I love the time travel angle in her books. I am reading the Heiress right now & try to get my hands on all I can. Keep up the good work! (T.P., 2-18-97)
Jude out does herself on every novel she produces.I ONLY read her books

I've read quite a few of Jude's books, but A KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR is my favorite. I have read it 4 times now, and I always hate to get to the end. I wish her stories could go on and on! (P.H., 2-14-97)
I started reading Devereux books way back in high school and I still get as excited everytime I find a new book of hers on the shelf. Jude Devereux is one of my favorites ( the other being Johanna Lindsey). I just totally love it when they intertwine the lives of their characters from one book to another. It's like reading a neverending saga and that's what I wish every time I read her novels-that it would never end. (A.Z., 2-10-97)
This was the best romance novel that I have ever read! . . And I have read a lot. Jude Deveraux is a master at bringing the characters to life, and making you fall in love with them! I have never experienced an author that can actually make me cry and laugh out loud throughout! She's truly gifted, and I thank her for the joy she brings to me each time a lose myself in her novels! (J.W., 2-10-97)
i love jude deveraux's books, it makes you feel like you want to be part of it. To date, i have only Montgomery and Taggert men in mind when i think of my dream man.I love Eternity. (B.P., 2-10-97)
After reading A KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR, I realized why I stopped reading Deveraux around 1985 and why I dislike time-travel books so much. Different strokes for different folks! (K.G., 2-3-97)
I can't express how much this book means to me.... It will always have a place in my heart. So will he... (K.M.G., 1-28-97)
I loved that book it was fantastic but all her books are fantastic
I love sequences and romance novels that have plot character and
emotion Jude turned me on to romance novels. and since I read them
all the time many differentt authors but jude she no one with julie
garwood, and amanda quick. there are many more but these three make
the best. keep it up your great jude. (N.M., 1-26-97)
Absolutely Wonderfull !!! (S.P., 1-25-97)

A Knight in Shining Armor is my favorite book of all time. It was so
good it made me cry. Keep up the good work. (T.D., 1-21-97)
A Knight in shining Armor was the first of your books I read.
Now I have copies of all your books,
and am constantly waiting for the next book.(no pressure) (C.M., 1-16-97)
If you think A Knight in Shining Armor was exceptional, try the Velvet Saga. Just like me, you will fall in the love with the gorgeous Montgomery brothers. Jude Deveraux is great author! Keep up the good work Jude! (L.H., 1-16-97)
I felt that this was an excellent book. I was hooked right from the start and I've already reread this a couple of times. I hope she could write a sequel to this book! (L.M., 1-15-97)
ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! I CRIED ALL THE WAY THROUGH IT, TOO BAD THERE AREN'T REALLY MEN NOW DAYS THAT COMPARE TO THE MONTGOMERY'S....A GREAT FANTASY (S.S.T., 1-13-97)
This is the BEST romance novel I have read to date. It was the first romance novel I've ever read, and it actually made me sad when the story came to an end...I wanted MORE!!! This was the first book to get me hooked on romance novels, but Jude Deveraux has and always will be my favorite author. (B.P., 1-11-97)
I usually read romance novels, but yet have i found a book with suspence,
and such great imagination. The knight in shining armor was the first book
that i have read of Jude's. It was the most heartwarming book i have ever read,
when i read this book i fell in love with Nicholas Stafford,
he is a man that all women wish to have in their lives.
My sister read the book before i did and she would also agree
that this book was the greatest, we both hope for it to become
a movie someday, Jude is a excellent author, and i really want
to thank her for having such a wonderful aspect on real life.
This book was not only a 10, but was also #1!!!!!!!!! (S.K., 1-9-97)
I believe she has given all women a complex, because I know my adoring husband feels he has to compete with the
Montgomery and Taggert men. They have such sex appeal and honor; women never expect to find that in a man, one that will love you forever. Jude is wonderful. (D.R., 1-8-97)
I'm not a big fan of historical romances - but a friend recommended this one, so I gave it a try. Much to my surprise I LOVED it. The characters were so appealing and the time travel elements were beautifully handled. Also enjoyed the history behind it. I've tried reading other JD books since, but none have appealed to me the way this one did. But "Knight in Shining Armor" is a KEEPER! (K.B., 1-7-97)
This is the only book in this genre that I have read more than once or would even recommend to anybody - unlike most books of this genre that I have read, the characters were so original and the story had so much suspense, atmosphere, and most of all, humor, that I simply could not put it down. I would love to see it made into a movie and my choice to play Nicholas is Thorsten Kaye from ONE LIFE TO LIVE. When I first read the book I thought Bridget Fonda would be a good choice to play Dougless and still do. (C.S., 1-7-97)
A classic... This is one you buy and read over and over again. I could not put it down, and missed a lot of sleep. (K.B., 1-4-97)
Knight was simply wonderful, sensitively, and beautifully written. I love all of Jude's books. Just recently finished Legend, also a must read. (D.G., 1-4-97)
This is one of the best romances I've ever read. My copy is worn and dog-eared from all the times I've re-read this book. If you haven't read it, you're missing one of the best romance reads of your life. (J.S., 1-3-97)
The story was interesting, in that it was change from her usually writings. I enjoyed it. (S.G., 1-2-97)
This is one of the best books I've ever read. It's one that you can
read over and over and over. (H.G., 1-2-97)
I loved this book. I didn't want it to end. I talked my husband into reading it, and he is now a fan. I read the ending 3 times because I just
didn't want the story to stop. I have read this book over 6 times. (D.B., 1-1-97)
I have followed the boks of Deveraux from the start to the present and have found that all her work is by far my favorite of all literature...but this one book even made it's way into my hope-chest to be preserved as a permanent part of my life. It meant that much to me. (L.H., 12-31-96)
Wonderful!!! First Time Travel Book I have read and it was nothing short of outstanding! Jude Devereux is a Winner! I laughed, cried, hoped.....Would like to see a sequel to this! (A.M., 12-31-96)
I CONCUR WITH THE GENERAL CONSENSUS ABOUT THIS BOOK. I HAVE READ ALL
OF HER NOVELS BUT THIS ONE IS THE BEST! (R.G., 12-27-96)
This was my 2nd favorite---Rememberance was the absolute
BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (R.R.R., 12-27-96)
I first purchased this book at a yard sale. It was well read and by the time I had read it and passed it on to friends to read we were hooked on Jude as an author. I finally had to purchase a new copy of the book as it is a keeper in my library of romance books. The ones I bring out and read over and over when no new books appeal. Thanks for the wonderful stories but mostly thank you for these two wonderful characters. (L.J., 12-23-96)
This book is wonderful! It is one that I keep and read again and again. (B.W., 12-14-96)
I'm a freshman in college and I've been reading Jude Deveraux since about the eighth grade. I feel the heroine and hero must go through some type of hell before finally living happily ever after and Jude Deveraux is the author for this wonderful type of storyline. I have a copy of every Deveraux book ever written on my bookshelf so that I can revisit the lives of some extraordinary characters at any time. Thanks to my mom for introducing me to the world of Jude Deveraux snd thanks to Jude for creating it! (M.B., 12-13-96)
Every book of Deveraux's is great! I recomend them to everyone I know. It's impossible to
compare any of her books they are all perfect. (A.S., 12-13-96)
THE FIRST ROMANCE BOOK I EVER READ AND I WAS GLUED TO THE SPELLBINDING PLOT. THIS IS ONE OF THE BOOKS I LOVE SO FAR AND RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO READ IT! (E.G., 12-4-96)
It was my first time travel novel and at first I didn't want to read it,
because I knew if they weren't from the same time they could never be together.
I'm so glad I went on because Jude Deveraux was able to really bring them
together. It was incredible the emotional rollercoaster you go through it
is the most romantic, sexual, and adventurous book I've probably ever read.
Thank you to my step mom for telling me to read it and thank-you Jude. (T.D., 12-3-96)
A Knight in Shining Armour is the first time travel book I've read...I'm hooked! (C.P., 12-2-96)
This is such a beautiful story. I cried. I laughed. I wished that I could be Dougless. All of Jude's books are good, this one is the best. Legend comes in 2nd. Mountain Laurel is 3rd. After reading her books I feel anything is possible. And that maybe my own Nicholas is out there. As much as I would like to see "Knight..." made into a movie. I think it would take away from everyone's personal imaginings. My Nicholas is not your Nicholas. My Dougless isn't yours. If you take that away It might not be as special.
I just hopes Jude never stops writing. My friend Denise and I enjoy discussing the Montgomery men. I got dibbs on the "ugly" one. (J.K., 11-28-96)
THE FIRST EVER HISTORICAL ROMANCE I READ WAS HERS AND NONE CAN COMPARE EXCEPT JUDITH MCNAUGHT. I HAVE BEEN BUYING THIS BOOK OVER AND OVER BECAUSE EVERYTIME I LEND IT, IT JUST DOESN'T COME BACK. I LOVE NICHOLAS AND DOUGLESS!! I AM GOING TO NAME MY NEXT SON NICHOLAS COLIN. HE WAS THE MOST TENDER, PASSIONATE, AND KIND HERO I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. I LOVE JUDE DEVERAUX FOR CREATING SUCH UNFORGETTABLE CHARACTERS. IN FACT, THEY DON'T FEEL LIKE CHARACTERS ANYMORE, THEY FEEL LIKE MY FRIENDS AND I LOVE THEM. I HOPE I WILL MEET MS. DEVERAUX SOMEDAY. I WISH SHE COULD "DEVERAUXIZE" THE BOOK I AM WRITING MYSELF, THE WAY SHE "MCNAUGHTIZES" HERS. I LOVE YOU JUDE!!! THANKS! STRAIGHT FROM THE PHILIPPINES! (T.G., 11-26-96)
This book has me in tears no matter how often I read it! 'Knight..' and
'Remembrance' are wonderful, remarkable, transporting books. I have every book ever written by Jude Deveraux and I will continue
to get them as they come out. PLEASE! Don't ever stop writing!! (C.J., 11-25-96)
Great book is an understatement. This is by far the best book that I have ever read. You know that a story is a good one when it makes you feel every emotion imaginable. (C.W., 11-23-96)
WHY CAN'T REAL LIFE BE LIKE THIS??? (M.T., 11-20-96)
This book is a book that everyone should read. If I don't see a sequel soon I will really upset. The only book that has compared to it is Remembrance. While reading Remembrance I cried almost thewhole time.
I m collecting all of her books and a Knight in shining armor is the best. (C.S., 11-20-96)
This is the first time-travel romance novel I have ever read, and it set the standard very high. I have read others since, but none have been as good as this one. Because of this book, I have been reading the Montgomery saga from the beginning. I also would love to see a sequel involving Reed Stanford (the plane guy) and Dougless. (S.P., 11-15-96)
I LOVE all of your books. I have a collection of them all but my favourite so far is "My Knight in Shining Armour".I read your books over and over. I eagerly wait your new book! (J.C., 11-15-96)
NOBODY DOES A BOOK JUSTICE LIKE JUDE DEVEREAUX (C.L., 11-14-96)
I have read this book a few times and always think the same thing, when will the sequel come out? I know I speak for others as well. Please do something with Reed and Douglas!! (K.A., 11-12-96)
THIS BOOK WAS GREAT I MADE ALL MY GUY FRIENDS READ IT AND THEY ALL
LOVED IT! THE ONLY OTHER NOVEL THAT COMPARES TO THIS IS SWEET LIAR... THAT IS MY FAVORITE
EVEN MORE SO THAN A KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR. I FELL IN LOVE WITH MICHAEL TAGGERT (A.W., 11-10-96)
Definitely a must-read for any JD fan...I've read it 3 times and will keep on! (D.R., 11-9-96)
I started reading it on a Wed. night and finished it before the sun
came up. I felt like someone was squeezing my heart the whole time!
I could not put it down! It is by far the best book I have ever
read!! And reread! (D.M., 11-5-96)
I loved the novel. I love the way Jude Deveraux builds her character in all of her novels. I read the novel over and over and over... (R.L., 11-5-96)
I love u jude for writing such a nice book.. Thanks for all the nice romance u brought into my life.. (A.D., 11-5-96)
This was the first romance novel I ever read and it made me cry so hard. I have yet to find another that captures the love that this book displays. Since then I have been reading all of J.D.'s books and have fell in love with all of them. (K.A., 11-4-96)
The ABSOLUTE best book that has ever been written! (A.R., 10-28-96)
The best thing about this novel was its humor-it was great! Jude Devereaux is an excellent storyteller and I can't wait for her next novel! (J.F., 10-27-96)
I am an avid reader. I have also read everything Jude has ever written, including "Casa Grande", (yuk), (sorry Jude). I have lived with the Montgomery's and Taggarts for years, and feel as if I know them all. However, "Knight and Shinning Armor" was just too wonderful. When the story ended I felt sad, because I wanted more. I can't wait for the next book from Jude. They are always great fun to read. (D.M., 10-22-96)
I have suggested so many people read this book, they are beginning to think I am nuts. This one goes the whole gamut of emotions. Jude Deveraux is the best. (L.W., 10-21-96)
I love this book. I re-read it regularly! (A.M., 10-20-96)
I've worn out the first copy(hard copy) lent to everyone, even men think this is a great book.J D. is my favorite author, have read and kept everything she has ever written. (G.P., 10-17-96)
I loved this book. Once I picked it up I couldnt put it down. I remember going to school and crying once I got to the end. I couldnt stop crying. Since then I have read and re-read that book over and over again and it still has the same effect on me. I love the Montgomerys but the Taggerts. Wow. They are what men are really about. (K.K., 10-16-96)
JD is so great! I read this twice and would read it again if it wasn't
borrowed. I'm telling you once will just make you want more, so go
for it! (Q.W., 10-8-96)
Oh my goodness! You have got to read this and then read it again
because once will drive you crazy for more! (Q.W., 10-8-96)
I have loved everyone of J.D's books!! I started reading them in Junior High and I haven't stopped. I own every single book I can get my hands on. I only wish she'd write them faster!! (K.R., 10-7-96)
I love time travel stories, but this is better than most I've read.
Jude Deveraux is a fantastic author! (M.B., 10-6-96)
I loved, I laughed, I cried! It's the best book I've ever read, and I read it over and over. All of her books are great and impossible to put down. I look forward to more books that let me know what's going on in the saga of the Montgomery's and the Taggert's. Here's to you, Jude! Great going. (L.S., 10-5-96)
This book is a keeper. I absouloutly fell in love with it when I read the first page! It got me hooked on Jude's books and I've purchased and read every one! I can't wait until her next one comes out. Keep 'em comming!!!! (J.D., 10-2-96)
Absolutely one of my all time favourites!!! (P.N., 10-2-96)
ALL HER BOOKS ARE GREAT THIS WAS FANTASTIC. IT WOULD MAKE A GREAT MOVIE (D.V., 9-29-96)
I cann't believe any one did not like this book. This was the first book
I can remember crying at. I have read everyone of her books and this is a
in the top 5. The Montgomery's are good, but the Taggerts are better. (S.S., 9-28-96)
Really, really good book, but what about poor Nicholas? Imagine he felt having to live all those years without her. I don't think it'd make a good movie/tv special. People tend to screw up romance stories and that would just be blasphemous to this book. Still, it was a truly emotional and wonderful book. My heart hurt so much to read it, yet I do it again and again! (E.J.T., 9-27-96)
I bought this AFTER reading a friend's copy, and everybody I've lent my copy to buy their own copies! I threw the book against the wall about five times in the beginning becasue the heroine (Dougless) was so wimpy but after Nicholas showed up it was pure magic. Deveraux's best. Incomparable and wonderful! (J.A., 9-27-96)
This is one of the top ten romances! The first time I read it and finished it at 2am, I reread it immediately. (B.A.L., 9-26-96)
I loved this book! I have read thousands of books and very few of them affect me like this book did. I cried my eyes out! (D.K., 9-25-96)
Jude Deveraux is "The Bees Knees!" She was the beginning of my wonderful friendship with Romance. Jude Deveraux Romance is always terrific, but what hooked me on Jude Devereaux' books is her fabulous sense of humor. Not to mention, that her characters read more like real people with real flaws who in many cases are unapologetic about that and who are that much more attractive and relatable (gee, a new word!) to the reader as a result. "A Knight in Shining Armor" is a perfect blend of Ms. Deveraux's delightful wit and sense of romance. My only regret was that I reached the last page of this great book. But it was lovely to have even a glimpse of Douglas at the Central Park picnic in "Sweet Liar" (another GREAT book!). I have recommended "A Knight in Shining Armor" to others who've snickered at Romance. And Jude, if you're reading this, they snicker...no more! (I have created two more romantic souls, Heh!) I have all the books of Jude Deveraux, except "Casa Grande," which has vanished as if it never was.
I recently finished "Legend" which isn't her best, but still a lovely read, indeed. Thanks for the chance to express my fondness for this author's talent and her terrific stories. (B.Q., 9-25-96)
It was one of the GREATEST books I've read. (B.H., 9-25-96)
I have read many time-travel books and this is the best I have ever read.I literally cried when I finished and I have not yet read one that I have liked as much. (P.A., 9-21-96)
My ex-wife-in-law tried for years to get me to buy this one. She finally
gave it to me. I felt forced to read it at that point. Well, now it's one of
the first books I recommend to others--particularly those who seem put off by
the romance genre. It's a wonderful, quite memorable story. (J.B., 9-19-96)
This book was a joy to read just as all of Jude's books are. I absolutely enjoyed it. The ending was especially good. (M.D., 9-17-96)
I loved it! (L.H., 9-17-96)
I absolutly love this book. I have read it several times over, and my opinion of it hasn't changed except for the fact that I enjoy it more each time I read it. Jude Deveraux is a master when it comes to writting romance books. Keep on writting them and I will keep on reading them!!!!! (K.B., 9-16-96)
THIS IS TRULY THE BEST NOVEL I HAVE EVER READ. MS.DEVEREAUX DEFINITELY KNOWS HOW TO CAPTURE AN EMOTION. I FELL IN LOVE INSTANTLY WITH THIS BOOK, ESPECIALLY WHEN NICHOLAS SAYS "YOU MAY HAVE MY HEART, MY LIFE, MY SOUL" - SIGH, SIGH. I CAN'T EXPRESS MY GRATITUDE ENOUGH! (E.F., 9-13-96)
My all time favorite. (K.J., 9-12-96)
WOW! What a book! I've read it three times and probably will read it again. I even have the audio tape and listen to it while driving to and from work. A must read!! (J.B., 9-7-96)
Your book set a presidence for time-travel that's been hard to beat! Sure wish you would do some more time travel. The Montgomerys are great but do some more time travel with a new family. I hated to put it down. (K.M., 9-2-96)
I have been reading for 15 years and of all the books I have
ever read this is by far my favorite. Thank you for writing it and
giving everyone a little ray of hope of finding our "Knight in
Shining Armor." Thanks!!!! (K.G., 9-2-96)
Wonderful book!!!Read all her books, and they are very thrilling. Can't wait until Jude writes more, I'll be first in line!!!!!! (J.C., 9-2-96)
This book was absolutely entertaining in the extreme! I have all of Jude Deveraux's books, but this one is by far one of her very best. (J.A.N., 8-26-96)
This book is one of the most emotional ones I've ever read by Jude, and I've read them all! I hope that you continue to thrill us all with your very real characters and ingenius plots. Keep up the good work! And where's your next one! *hahaha* (C.E., 8-23-96)
It was a wonderful story. I buy all her books! (T.B., 8-22-96)
This is the best book I have ever read. It is what started me reading Jude's books. I have completed all of them and am awaiting more. Jude is my most favorite author. (M.W., 8-22-96)
This is the best time-travel book I have ever read! I mean, it is so real and so sweet! I was crying my heart out in the part when Nicholas leaves Dougless - but it was really great the way the book ended "My soul will find yours." I want more! more! MORE!!! (R.G., 8-20-96)
I started reading romance novels when I was 12 and have read literally thousands since then. This is simply the BEST one I have ever read!! (G.S., 8-19-96)
This is the VERY BEST time-travel book I've ever had the pleasure of reading! It had a heart-wrenching ending that I will NEVER forget. I highly recommend this book. (J.G., 8-12-96)
One of the best time travel romances I have ever read. Fast-paced and wonderful characters. Give us more like this one, Jude!!! (J.H., 8-12-96)
I've read this book many times, even listened to it on tape. This would be some movie. I bought this book on a Wednsday. My husband asked me why I did not immediatly start it. I have been reading Jude Deveraux since the 80's, so I knew what I was getting into. I (and I could hardly waint) saved this book for a Friday night. I started reading after the kids went to bed, and closed it at 6am. Jude, I need more..Whats coming out next? I always read your books quickly.. can not put them down! Only regret is that the characters become friends and I hat to finish the book. I would love to chat with other JD devoted fans! (P.F., 8-6-96)
I've read all (and loved all) of Ms. Deveraux's books except for "Knight." I just can't get through it. (A.F.Z., 8-5-96)
This is neato stuff, man. I've only read one book as many times as this one and it was a Jude Devearaux, too. (Sweet Liar.) (H.B., 8-2-96)
This was classic Jude. She is a fabulous writer. My mother and I share novels from Ms. Deveraux. I find them extremely fascinating and interesting. I also find them too few and far between. I NEED MORE!! I have read all of her books including her joint endeavers like the Christmas Special. I have never been disappointed in writing barring one ending when she just ended the book with the guy getting off the elevator in her apartment. That stunk!!! Every Jude is wonderful. My favorite by far is the Lady's series! (B.J.A., 8-2-96)
A friend of mine had been bugging me to read romance. I was into the
fantasy genre.I finally gave in,laughing at the thought of a ROMANCE
book. I started reading it after dinner and when the sun started to
come up there were tears in my eyes!!!It made me stop laughing at
romance books!
Its by far the best book I've ever read!!! (T.M., 8-1-96)
By far, the best romance novel of all time. The characters are rich and well written. I have read this book too numerous times to count! I have loaned Knight in Shining Armor to a friend, who did not return it and has since moved away. Needless to say, I had to go out an purchase another copy so I can have it handy when I get the urge to reread it again and again. The ending was a wonderful surprise and bittersweet! Keep up the good work Ms. Deveraux! I look forward to all your books and have every one of them!! Your books provide me with the much needed escape I crave from everyday life! (T.P., 7-29-96)
This was by far the best book I have ever read! If only this would happen to me!! J. Deveraux is the most romantic writer of all times!!!! (A.L., 7-26-96)
This was the first time cross romance novel I read and I was reallly impressed. Although I found the ending a tad bitter sweet, it was enjoyable to read. It's humorous and enchanting. (G.K., 7-25-96)
What a great book! I enjoy reading it very much, keep doing well! (J.L., 7-25-96)
This is THE story for romantics. I have read it countless times and cry at all the same places. This is a book that Ron Howard should make into a movie! if I coult find his production company's address, I would tell him! (M.F., 7-16-96)
I was very disappointed in this book. I thought her earlier books were excellent compared to this one. I will NOT keep this book. (C.I., 7-14-96)
Jude Deveraux is by far my favorite!!!I have all her novels and I have read them each a million times. I fall in love with each and everyone of her characters and I beieve
that she is one of the best romance writers in history. Another write I also enjoy is Judith McNaught. I think her books are also a must to read. (J.S., 7-13-96)
By far the BEST romance/time travel novel I have read! I read it twice and cried each time. I picture Nicholas as a much younger Timothy Dalton. What a romance. How many of us would love to have an experiece like that. Oh my gosh!! Jane Austin would have loved this one!! Jude, I love your work. Don't stop, or my heart will break!!!!!!!!! (M.C., 7-11-96)
"Time has no meaning, love will endure" "My soul will find yours". Wow!!! That part was incredible. However, I'm still undecided about the ending. I'm leaning towards not liking it. Too much bitter, not enough sweet. (H.S., 7-1-96)
I have read all of Jude's books. If you can find the "Black Lyon". It starts the whole series from the Velvets to the "Hieress".I cannot wait for the next one. She is my favorite author. How can I connect with her on the computer? Do you know? Panda624@aol.com. (M.N., 6-25-96)
I STARTED READING JUDE BY ACCIDENT. HONESTLY I RAN OUT OF OTHER READING MATERIAL AND JUST HAPPENED TO HAVE ONE OF HER
BOOKS LYING AROUND (FROM A BOOK CLUB) SO I READ IT. AS I REMEMBER IT WAS "REMEMBRANCE" LIKED IT SO MUCH I STARTED READING
EVERYTHING ELSE SHE'S WRITTEN. I'VE EVEN GOTTEN MY BOSS TO DO THE SAME, WE SIT AROUND AT LUNCH AND TALK ABOUT THE VARIOUS
BOOKS. I CAN'T WAIT FOR HER TO COME OUT WITH A NEW BOOK! MY PERSONAL LIFE HAS GONE DOWN THE DRAIN WITHOUT THE STIMULATION OF
HER BOOKS! (A.S., 6-22-96)
One of the best romances I have ever read. If I could own only one romance novel, this would be the one. (M.L.A., 6-21-96)
Wonderful example of mature, sacrificial (even platonic) love; the idea
of the eternal soul is the underpinning of this story. Refreshing to
read about passionate lovers who also have faith in GOD! (J.D., 6-21-96)
i love this book more than life itself. jude is my hero. (S.W., 6-21-96)
KISA was the BEST romance book I have ever read...and also one of the most entertaining books of any genre. Okay..Let's cast this movie..I always thought a younger Annette Bening would have made a GREAT Dougless. For Nicholas..I'll have to think on that one! I think we all need to find OUR own Nicholas!!..He has to be out there!! (S.K., 6-20-96)
Great book....I lent it to my friend and 9 months later she had a son (named Nicholas). What more can I say? (L.J., 6-17-96)
I think Jude Deveraux is one of the best romance authors
in the world. Her creation of the "Montgomery Family" was
a terrific idea she had. (K.L.C., 6-18-96)
Great book....I lent it to my friend and 9 months later she had a son (named Nicholas). What more can I say? (L.J., 6-17-96)
THE BEST ROMANCE BOOK -- EVER!!! (B.B., 6-7-96)
I REALLY REALLY LOVE THIS BOOK... Read it often but still capture my attention..
She's a wonderful writer...
Great Love stand the test of time.... (A.F.M., 5-31-96)
J.D. is wonderful and "Knight" surpasses anything I've
ever read! (P.T., 5-30-96)
I loved this book. Jude Deveraux is just like wine, she gets better with age! (S.D.R., 5-29-96)
HOW DO WE GET THIS BOOK INTO A MOVIE OR MINISERIES? (N.V.R., 5-29-96)
major keeper! rush out and buy this book now, but do not loan it to
anyone...this is one book that does not come back home. (S.H., 5-26-96)
This book is the absolute best! I have read all her books and anxiously await more on the Montgomery Family. (E.R.T., 5-23-96)
My all-time favorite book by my favorite author. I've read thousands and this is the
of romances looking for another love story like this and nothing
comes close. Please write a sequel! (L.P., 5-22-96)
I started reading Jude Deveraux'a books and now I'm addicted. 'Knight' started it the trend but I must say that I agree with some of you that 'Sweet Liar' is by far her VERY best. Hurry and write some more Jude, I've read all of them and I need more ! (E.L., 5-21-96)
Wonderful book. I really loved the fact that Nicholas came forward in time
For whatever reason, it doesn't happen very often in romances. (S.C., 5-21-96)
Enjoyed this time travel. Covered both eras.....hero coming into the present and heroine going to past. Very good love story. (D.C., 5-20-96)
Though this is better than anything else I've ever read by Devereaux, I find her a disappointing author. Her style is too contemporary for a historical. At least this book did not have any major anachronisms--like the one by her I read about an opera singer who went around the west singing Carmen before the Civil War. Only problem is, Bizet didn't write Carmen until the 1870s! (E.P., 5-19-96)
The best book I've ever read. What else can I say? LOVED IT! (K.G., 5-17-96)
This was one of my favorites. Jude Deveraux is one of my favorite authors. I bought this book in hardback, and have lent it to several people they were all charmed and enraptured by the story. I have all of Jude Devereaux's book. I love the Montgomery Men!! (S.G., 5-15-96)
THIS WAS THE BEST ROMANCE THAT I HAVE EVER READ!!!! IT'S ONE THAT I'VE READ OVER AND OVER.
IN FACT, I'M GOING TO GIVE A COPY TO MY SISTER AND SISTER-IN-LAW FOR CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR!!
THIS IS DEFINITELY A MUST READ! (A.W., 5-15-96)
I enjoyed the historical adjustments that both characters made. (L.S., 5-13-96)
I am so glad I am not the only one who has all of J.D's books and not the only one who thought this book was "Wow". Does J.D. have a fan mail thing? (K.S., 5-12-96)
Incredibly wonderful!!! I cried buckets and wished it would never end. Where is the mention of Dougless in Sweet Liar? (V.M., 5-11-96)
This is one of the best novels that Jude has written. I still cry every time I read it. Please give us more Montegomery's and Taggert's to love. (J.B., 5-9-96)
This book was spectacular!!!! I never cry when readimg romances, but I did in this one. A Knight in Shining Armor is a great book. Check out the sequel to it.....Sweet Liar. (L.B., 4-25-96)
I fell in love with the fantastical romance of it and still find it an incredible story about an enormously strong and fated love. (J.P., 4-18-96)
Of all the romance novels that I have read in my 25 years or so, this has got to be my all-time favorite. This novel defines ultimate romance. After I finished reading it I walked around with my head in the clouds for weeks, and I still think about it from time to time. The story had a bitter-sweet ending which made my heart ache and smile in sheer happiness at the same time. I have made everyone I know read this book. They all loved it! I don't think I could enjoy another (time-travel) romance this much. A Knight In Shining Armor will always have a special place in my heart. (K.K., 4-18-96)
I simply love this book, I tell all friends about it! (L.M., 4-14-96)
A definite re-read! THis was my first Jude - I've read most of her others now, this is still my favorite. (J.K., 4-14-96)
A wonderful book by a wonderfully expressive author. Love it! A keeper! (S.K., 4-12-96)
I loved this novel! But I wanted to know what happened when they met on the plane. I just cannot picture it ending that way. I wanted more...I needed more. It's nice to know that Douglas turns out fine if you look closely in another book. But I wanted to know the trouble and wonderful action that happened during their courtship. I am still dying to know. (T.B., 4-10-96)
I feel that A Knight in Shining Armor by Jude Deveraux is one of the best books that I have ever read. It will reman on my all time favourite romance novel list forever!! (K.G., 4-6-96)
Jude Deveraux is the best author i ever knew, she sets the book in two
different time space and I adore that.I just adore her. She really
inspire me . Ihope she continues writting! (M.M.D., 4-4-96)
I love a romance that reaches across time. This one satisfied my appetite. (C.S., 4-2-96)
I have read quite a few of Jude's books and I just keep on reading them again and again. It's a shame there arn't more writers like her. (L.V.L., 4-2-96)
I thought it was pretty good. (P.C., 4-1-96)
After reading this book, no other book that I have ever read has
touched me as deeply as this one. I felt as if I WAS Douglass
Montgomery. (R.W.M., 3-31-96)
This is the first romance book I ever read; in fact, I "borrowed" it
from my mom and read it in a day. This book made me laugh, it made
me cry, and above all it made me wish for a knight of my own. (R.P., 3-30-96)
I recommened it to a friend, and her husband is forever indebted to me. It has solved 8 years of marital problems due to supressed desires. No need for sex therapists as long as Jude keeps writing. (S.W., 3-29-96)
I love all the books about the Montgomery family. I have read tons of her books, and I'm always delightfuly entertained. (R.S., 3-27-96)
I enjoy all your books. Is there a possibility of you cloning yourself
so twice as many books come out every year? Keep up the entertaining work. (E.A., 3-24-96)
This is one of the best books I have EVER read!! (J.S., 3-14-96)
I tell all my friends about her (M.B., 3-13-96)
Of all the books I've read in every genre, I've put this one aside to read
over and over again. I've loaned it to friends who are not romance readers
(and friends who do not like to read) and they've all loved it just as much
as I have. (B.A.S., 3-12-96)
i love jude's books. I read almost all of them already. Me and my
friend always discuss her books. When one of us found that she has a
book out, we rush to the store. Knight in Shining armor is the best. It made me cry and laugh. I recommend this to everybody. (M.D., 3-11-96)
One of the best romance novels I've ever read! Wonderfully drawn characters and fast actions! Gotta read it! (T.J., 3-8-96)
We wish the characters in this wonderful tale were real! We have read her books for years and have collected them all! Jude is by far our favorite author! Keep writing!! (K.T., 3-4-96)
I could not put this book down. The emotion I felt was overwhelming. (N.T., 3-5-96)
My sister and I have purchased 29 of Jude Deveraux's books. We are only missing the most recent. Is there a better author? Not that we've found, and believe me - we've looked! If we could rate higher than a 5, we would. . . (M.D., 3-5-96)
I loved it from beginning to end. It took me 4 hours of straight
reading to finish it. I've read it over and over again. (G.C., 3-5-96)
it was one of the best books that deveraux has ever written and i loved
every word...i found both main characters incredibly fantastic and
extremely moving!!!! (E.H.T., 3-2-96)
Great humor that I certainly didn't expect. A friend told me about this one years ago, and I finally read it... really good read. (J.B., 2-22-96)
One of the best books I have ever read, and I've read a lot. A recommended read for everyone. (A.F., 2-22-96)
My favorite romance novel of all time...and I have read a lot!! (H.C., 2-22-96)
Jude Deveraux is an author that let's me down sometimes, but with this one she did not disappoint! Nicholas and Dougless were wonderful, and if you have the imagination for time-travel and destined soul mates, then this is the book for you. For anyone who wants to know what happens to Dougless and her man after the story ends should check out Deveraux's Sweet Liar. (C.J., 2-22-96)
This is by far the best she's every written. I've read it 3 times, and when I'm feeling jaded about romance, I just have another read. I recommend this book to everyone. (C.M., 2-21-96)
What an author! This is only one of Jude D.'s best romances. Love is timeless and nowwhere else is this shown more than in A Knight in Shining Armor.
When mere words affect your heart as much as this does you know it is the best simply because you love right along with the characters. Thanks Jude!! (A.P., 2-20-96)
One of the most romantic books I have ever read. I didn't want it to end. (G.E., 2-20-96)
It's been a bit hard to get Ms. Deveraux' books here in Finland but I
have been able to read almost all of them. This is by far the best,
even though I've loved them all. (N.L., 2-20-96)
I took this book everywhere with me for 2 days until I finished it.I enjoyed
romances, but this one was expertly written. (H.B., 2-17-96)
The book was absolutely great,I tell you. A must read.I totally fell in love with the characters of the book.I ended up reading all of Ms Deveraux books. Bestsellers such as Eternity and Remembrance were also great.I urge everyone reading this to read her books. You won't regreat it!!!!!!!!!!! (A.D., 2-16-96)
I have complete collection of Jude's books! love to read them over and over
in order. Wish she could wright faster, but all her books are worth the
wait. (L.C., 2-14-96)
Mesmerizing! Couldn't put it down. Very well written; made you think you were there too! Have read many of hers and this one is on the top of my list! Look forward to all of her books. (P.F., 2-12-96)
I am a librarian in a public library. Time travel romance is a genre that patrons are looking for! I always recommend this one. (K.Q., 2-8-96)
I don't read many romance books but I never miss Jude Devereaux and the two I enjoyed the most was A Knight in Shining Armor and Sweet Liar. (J.M., 2-6-96)
Jude Deveraux knows how to entertain! I love her books, and even have my husband interested in her stories. He says they'd make great movies-or a t.v. series of specials! If you love romance, you'll love Jude! (S.H., 2-6-96) This is one of the best books I have ever read. It is completely
Spellbounding! The time travel put a neat twist to the story. (D.J., 2-5-96)
Jude D. at her best! I've read it three times. (J.R., 2-5-96)
Knight is one of my favorites and Jude a must read author. Originally, I almost gave up on the book because I didn't care for the meek Douglass as a heroine. Nicholas in 1988 and Douglass in 1564 made me appreciate zippers and cold pills even more! Knight is always good for a cry!(K.V., 2-2-96)
Best book I've ever read! funny, beautiful, loved it! (S.P., 2-1-96)
I have read hundreds and hundreds of romance books and I have a few favorite authors, Johann Lindsey, Beatrice Small, Jude Deveraux, being among them. I absolutely LOVED this book. I have read it many times and continue to be absolutely in love with Colin Montgomery. Okay, it isn't rocket science, but who cares. I am college educated and have read a good deal of the Classics. I am much happier reading something that I can dream about.... (L.B., 2-1-96)
4 (V.Y., 1-30-96)
This, to me, is the perfect romance (along with Julie Garwood's The
Bride. It is tender, romamtic and a great adventure. My favorite
Jude Deveraux book, hands down. (L.C., 1-27-96)
I just adore this book! I have always rated this one as one of the highest calibre
Jude Devereaux novels. Her works seem to have had more merit in the earlier
years. Nowadays I may become disappointed in the way the plot is going or
am not satisfied with the amount of novels she publishes per year.
Another reason why I like this book so much is the hero/heroine conflict.
I love emotional jousts between Jude's characters. It is one thing that makes
her books so amusing and fun to read. I've been a loyal reader since 1988.
I hope she keeps up the good work. (T.M., 1-24-96)
5 (S.C., 1-16-96)
Would like an updated family tree of Montgomery and Taggert families. Anyone?! (C.D., 1-16-96)
It made me cry..What more can I say? (1., 1-12-96)
Needed to read this book in one sitting. Enjoyed the problems that the hero had when using modern day inventions. I,too, was let down at end as to how the two who met on the plane would continue their lives. (D.M.S., 1-12-96)
This was one of the best books that she has written, with the possible exception of Sweet Liar. I was so happy to hear that the characters in Knight were doing just fine when I read the comment about them in Liar...I think that is the best part of her books, the way that she is always interrelating the families so that you never loose touch with the characters that you have left behind. (M.A., 1-10-96)
I loved this book. The middle is so tear stained that it will not close right. I have read it many times over the last four years and it is one that I will never get rid of. (A.H., 1-2-96)
